So, shall we do a DCA Box DO?

I would be in favor of this. Any chance we can schedule it for 6am Sharp, right after an evening of drinking in D.C.? :p

Only if you want to miss the DO, or be admitted late to an alternative DO.

I'm the lone wolf that weekdays are better for. I'd love to, because I could take the train. But I get a sense that this is going to be a Saturday night.

One of the nicest clubs in the system and rarely crowded - begs the question to DL - why?

Crown Room is nice - good views of the runways and interior of the terminal, Signature Cocktails (during certain hours), and a putting green. It is definitely one of the best Crown Rooms in the system.

Would you rather a bunch of boisterous drunks converged on the concierge desk of the Borgata speaking fluent (though slurred) Aerogeek?

Because it is a major market for DL, with the Shuttle and 10 (or so) flights a day to ATL, plus a couple to SLC.

The problem for DCA for the NYC contingency is that CO still has this policy of selling only full fare Y tickets between the city pairs.

As much as I really want to meet up with fellow boxers (Box'ing's been good to me, Howard*) I'm not about to pay $700 to fly to DCA.

And it would seem so weird flying DL down there for a CO DO.

*bonus points for anyone who understands the reference**

Thats what Acela is for. Although, like I said before, DCA does not offer many miles to the EWR group.

Take Amtrak - you can even get EQM's if you use the Acela. That is my preferred mode of transport between DC and NYC.

Scooped! :p

CO 1E May 20, 2008 2:34 pm

You could also transfer some CO miles into Amtrak Guest Rewards and redeem points for the trip - 3000 points each way for the Regional, or 8000 each way for Acela.

belynch May 20, 2008 2:35 pm

Yeah... I did the Acela three times in as many weeks (for work) and I'm over it.

While I would do DCA, what about SAV or CHS?
