3 foot rule?? Lame.

SAN has a similar rule, or they did 10 years ago. Not so much in MEM, YYZ or YUL, among others.

When I went to school in TPA 10+ years ago, Mons Venus used to be the bomb. I don't know if they still are. According to what is posted about them in the wikipedia, they still are pretty good. I always liked the Miss Nude Tampa Pageant on free cable access TV on Wednesday nights at midnight or 1am. ^ Preceded by "Lifestyles of the Up and Coming." ;)

I went to school in Gainesville circa 97-01 , and we used to drive 120 miles to Tampa to go to Mons :D

Evening everyone from DEL!

I finally made it to the Le Meridian over yonder, checked in, got a suit (thank's to a certian FT'er) and am about to head out with some friends for the day.

I've got a few pics from the flight over (EWR-BOM, great crew!) and will post them as soon as I can figure out how to get the damn internet to work in my room.

Cheers from India! :)

Good Evening
I don't know if you saw the Million Miler Thread , but you need to figure out how to route your ticket home to reach 4MM:p

Why, when Cafe Risque was so much closer? ;)

I just missed you in G'ville - moved out in '95.

You can say lots of bad stuff about New Jersey, but at least our strippers get it done...no distance rule, just a no-touch rule. (Understandable, unfortunately.)

I once got a lap dance from a woman who turned out to live seven doors down from me, and I had never met her. We spent the dance talking about our Draconian condo association. Not the most enjoyable club experience, upon further reflection.

Has anyone noticed a fairly large increase in fare prices?

I was looking for a weekend getaway and I couldn't find a single place under $400.

I know that this was expected but sheesh, that's a big increase for some of my normal routes.

I started looking for EWR or PHL to CUN next May for a friend's wedding. EWR was $418, and PHL was $488 via IAH. For me, the two fares are obviously high but also kind of a dead heat cost-wise if you factor in gas and tolls with the girlfriend being so close to PHL and me living 90 miles from EWR.

Not to further the politics discussion, but my redneck past is stronger than most on FT. I submit the following as evidence:
  • My reckless use of the word fixin'
  • My father grew up on a pig farm
  • I used to climb billboards for fun
  • I've hit an armadillo while mud bogging
  • I would have eaten said armadillo if it wasn't lodged in the wheel well
  • I can proclaim, with great confidence, that Zaxby's is better than Chik-Fil-A (but I still love CFA)
  • There is no such thing as un-sweet tea. It's pronounced sac-ra-lidge
  • I have, at one point or another, tried to deep fry just about everything (peacocks are messy)

Yet, somehow, I ended up relatively liberal.

I'm a little bit of everything politically...I like lots of stuff on the right, a little on the left, and some stuff is, to me, really appealing that this country will never see, like some tenets of libertarianism. I'm not a true Republican because I have some social liberal in me and I'm also not religious. It fascinates me in an odd way that there can be a rather large lobbying group of gay Republicans but AFAIK, there's no group of note for the straight yet secular.

I believe that this makes you a true Republican, just not a current Republican. The party has severely shifted its focus in the pas 25ish years.

As for the fares going up, I'm pretty bummed about it. I cannot find anything for less than $400 for July 4th weekend. PTY and PWM are the same price from NYC, as crazy as that is.

I almost bought JFK-FRA-MAA-FRA-EDI-FRA-JFK in LH C for $2300 last night, but the ~5.7cpm on bmi was just too rich for my blood. If the JNB routing was available on that date I might have done it, especially since I'd get a day in JNB and a bunch more miles, rather than just a turn in MAA, but still probably not.

RHETORICAL QUESTION: Is that because these folks don't really feel the need to trumpet their views as loud as possible - because they're so sure in their ideology that they don't need to justify it by forcing their views on others?

It's the same reason why you don't read a headline in your local paper every day proclaiming: 99.5% of people had an uneventful day yesterday.

Good points both. I guess I'm used to the George Carlin school of thought: "If more than four people are interested in something, there is a f***ing magazine devoted to it."

Not wanting to impugn your rightly formed list. But this last item I would not say is exclusive or conclusive a qualification for "the most redneck of FT"

Have you ever been to the Jersey Shore? They deep-fry everything there, hotdogs, oreos, and twinkes. And of course out in OMA i had my first deep fried Mars Bar. I would venture to say deep fried food is as American as well...deep fried Apple Pie :)
