You should start flying to MEX. I got EUA'd 5-days out MEX-IAH on a 735, and was the only person in the F cabin until Gold EUA 3 days out. Midcon meal service on a 1:45 flight, as well ^^^

To get us back on track - I'd like to suggest the following for today's most absurd news article. Although, I'll give the Courier Journal credit in disguising the hilarity until the very end. Very good delivery.

COFan is fresh meat here in the Box, but he's already put up a strong showing on the drinking front, staying late at the NYC Belgian Beer Mini-DO for an extra beer and showing up late to meet his mother at an event after that. ^^

And that article is great. The idiot getting busted is pretty funny.

I'm not sure if that will get any congratulations. Although I can find a way to respond to all of the nasty posts I'd possibly receive as well. :)

Honestly though, I'm not sure if this is just a quiet travel week to/from LAX, but the red-eye last night (the 1st one on the 753) had 16 upgrades! In my experience, that is unheard of on a transcon!

Either that, or it's all thanks to the Chick-Fil-A.

Yes, yes and more. PHL has been a whipping boy for a long time, but the capital improvement over the last 10 years are huge. All they need is a fueling system. And to get rid of US.

(I wanted to accuse the page of being a Photoshop, but that's just not original.)

 Shocking! PHL is one of the worst holes of an airport I have ever experienced. The airport staff is generally rude and/or clueless and there is a permanent foul odor through out that entire place.

It certainly redefines "filing a DOT complaint".

Well, I'm not so sure how reliable the study is at all. LGA made the top three of mid-sized airports, and the only reason to actually like that airport is the Marine Air Terminal.

As to the post counts, I've noticed that when I actually have work to do I manage to stay away from FlyerTalk and the Box and not have too strong of withdrawal pains. On days without work, however, those pangs can be hard to manage. I guess it is a good thing I'm getting busy with work again.

That would be your official "Welcome to Killadelphia" - the airport is built right down the riverbank from a sewerage treatment plant. Insert employee morale, US, and appropriate poop joke here.

But how many were Y-Ups? That's the hidden number in the PDA site stats that is hard to discern through the chaff.

I received my EUA at +5 days. When the flight showed up on the PDA site, there were still 12 seats open up front. So, I'd say that very few of the people on the list were Y-ups. There were a lot of +1 day upgrades as well, so I wonder if any Silvers actually got a seat up front...

There is also somewhat of a musty, old, "this place has never been cleaned before" smell. Yuck!

My lobby is dead right now. I'm returning calls and FTing, doing what Oprah likes to call "multitasking".

That's not the plant, that's US stinking up the joint. It's funny how D6 and D8 don't have that, nor does the breakfast place by the UA gates with the autographed Jon Bon Jovi guitar that makes an awesome sausage egg and cheese.

It's SO true. You walk past the WN gates and the odor is present, then you get to the CO gates and all is well. If you continue on to the UA and FL gates, the smell returns. The entire D concourse is still pretty beat though.

Even though I hate the smell/condition of PHL, I still wish CO would bring back the cheap west coast fares out of there. I miss those great MR opportunities.
