That is still a great itinerary - wouldn't mind doing something similar this year.

Me personally, I'd rather get some stick time in one of the old embargo-era F-14's. One of the prettiest fighters ever to fly, IMO.

:o You'd probably end up dead if you tried an Iranian f-14, those things are WAY WAY out of service they have installed non factory parts in them etc to try to keep them going but I wouldn't trust them in any way, shape or form.

I wouldn't even sit on the ground in one of the things the ejection seat may decide to randomly take you for a blast.

I haven't noticed much. However, I haven't been perusing too many of the threads here lately. Aside from getting Tax-happy on the OnePass Turns 21 thread, I've been sticking to The Box, and obsessively playing with KVS Fare Search ;)

There's always been a small degree of hostility on this board, I think. Certain people are just plain rude and insolent, and that's not going to stop. There are some who would say that about me, and that's cool...anyone can think what they want. But in short, I haven't noticed an uptick; I've seen it constantly.

I don't think it's you, but I'm relatively new so I have no idea what the CO forum history is.

I'd be willing to hazard a guess that said hostility experienced its surge when that thread from an aircrew msgboard called CO's elites "the whiniest in the business", or something to that effect. That was several months ago, and it's kinda been there since...plus when you factor in the following:

Certain reactions of certain posters to repeated topics (can't name names, much as I want to), along with the reactions to that individual that are provoked (guilty of that myself...)

Then add a heaping helping of completely unwarranted arrogance and being not just full of oneself, but overflowing of oneself (again, no names)

The intolerance shown to those who dare to ask a question that may have been answered 10 pages into another thread or possibly over a year ago (757 TATL thread), you tend to get a cranky atmosphere.

Of course, that's just my opinion - I could be wrong.
