No comment. :D

Hard to talk anyhow, given the Delirium Tremens onset due to no impending travel.

Glad that I'm not the only one... Course, mine is from the original diagnosed situation....

ALCO, you are my hero! ^

It's official. I am an embarrassment.

Gotta run and catch the Metro...closest I'll get to a ride from A to B with a numerical identifier for the next few weeks. I'll just pretend it's CO 46 :D

I'm actually glad that I am not a high poster here in the box. Especially since J.Edward puked in the corner. I would never patronize this place anyhow.....

Been here less than a year and I am 5th on the most "prestigious" thread in the CO forum. Outstanding.:D

Must be sale fares for CO to pack the crowd at the Freddies. Someone should tell them that the voting already closed. :p

Sadly, no decent fares from NYC, so I'll be bailing on the event.

Damn, I knew I spent too much time in here.

Must be departing tomorrow (just like J.Edward said in his post - which I was too drunk/hurried to read properly). If there's one constant in the airfare world, it's that there's almost never any cheap last-minute fares anywhere departing on a Friday and returning on a Sunday.

I bought tickets just now on SA. Not two minutes after it was done Bank of America was calling to verify if I had made the charges. Why is buying tickets for travel in Africa suspicious?

I bought an Apple MacBook (not even a pro) and that raised the suspicious flags, yet 2 CO RT tickets to NRT (which they charged separately) went through with nary a problem, nor did the UK based tour company we're using.

Gotten any Emails from Nigerians lately? Using my Visa or MC to book tix or purchase things internationally became too much of a hassle. I would get constant calls: "Did you attempt to book a flight with 'Lane Chile'"; calls forwarded to my international phone (at $1/min) "Did you just try to make a purchase at Harvey Nichols? We've placed a hold on your account pending confirmation of charges."

Despite repeatedly telling them I travel all the time, to lots of different countries, they didn't get it (or were so worried that I would be on the hook for only $50 of any fraudulent charges, that they didn't care about my concerns as a customer).

Since, I've found it much easier to shift nearly all of my spending to my Amex cards. Amex doesn't care if I'm booking mistake fares on Aeroflot at 3am. I charge, they bill, I pay, I get points - all is well.

I've never had much problem with credit card companies questioning my charges until recently. After two incidents of identity theft in the last six months, it seems every time I make a large purchase it requires a phone authorization. The most recent was a purchase for over $2000 three weeks ago at Lowe's in Atlanta. The clerk had to phone it in and I had to speak to the representative at Citi on the phone before the charge would go through. Fortunately the lady I spoke with told me she'd remove the fraud flagging on my account, and since then, large purchases have charged through without any problem.
