Just don't activate the card and they cannot charge you the fee. Your credit will get dinged for the second pull if you apply for the other one, but at least you'll save the $55.

What are you going to do with the 20K miles? I haven't taken UA, NW or DL up on their credit card offers yet. I wonder if you could sign up with each now and then get another sign-up bonus post-merger..

Once UA and CO announce, I'll get a UA card too... |
There's nothing worse than having to leave Den Haag for the festering pit. The weather even cooperated on Saturday, meaning I could get out to the beach. The weather in The Netherlands never cooperates in April.

OK, I am hankering for a trip, and the CO.com specials are kind of bleak this week. Thus, I am thinking about doing the trip to Charleston, WV and driving on Sunday to Dayton to go to the US Air Force Museum. I could take the connection through CLE and ride a Q400, plus see the best air museum in the USA. What does the bar think? I am also thinking about going to Gueycial, Eduador as well....not exactly the nicest place, but FC looks mighty cool.....
Thoughts? |

Looks like AA is doing the double EQM's through June 15th. It appears according to AA threads that it includes tickets purchased prior to today. Anyone think CO will match DL and AA with some double EQM's?

I just flew my first CO mainline flight in Y since early last September. It was a good EUA run though — 35 consecutive flights upgraded, only one or two of which was a Y-up, and quite a few were 5 day EUAs on 50% EQM fares. I've even pulled off the seemingly impossible upgrades, like 5 day EUAs on 735 flights operating to/from EWR on a Monday on a L fare. But tonight it was just not meant to be. I watched EUA run and fill up F on my SNA-IAH flight tonight, while leaving me behind. Once OLCI opened up and I checked in yesterday, I was number 1 on the upgrade standby list, and remained there, but unfortunately all 12 F passengers showed up and made the flight, so I sat in 14A.
So now that I've refreshed my memory of what a CO 737 Y seat feels like, and what the cabin looks like from behind the Y bulkhead, I was pleased to land at IAH this evening, turn on the BlackBerry, and see a 5 day EUA notification for next Monday's IAH-MSP flight. |

I think the only thing that would make J.Edward happier than me finally missing an upgrade after more than seven months would have been the FA taking pity on me sitting in Y and bringing me an extra bowl of cheese soup from the F meal service.

Thank you for brightening the day of someone preparing to fly IAH-JAN-IAH on ERJs, on a Y fare.
