RE:Udvar-Hazy Center
Excellent museum surpassed only by Wright-Patterson.
If you want some extra entertainment at Udvar-Hazy, ask the parking lot attendant about the "Sully Historic Site" reached on the same access road.

Attendant, "Well, it's a site that's uhhhhhh, historic...."
Me, "Thanks for the insight..."

I was thinking about this the other day, and the upgrades are nice (and I still get them a fair amount), but I've started to realize that the waiver of fees is way more valuable to me. I'm not getting the upgrades on the BF flights anyways, so the big ticket upgrades still cost money, but being able to move my reward reservations around to suit my needs has saved me many hundreds of dollars over the past few years.

Where do you get the most value out of your elite status?

1) Domestic Elite Upgrades
2) Fee Waivers

Moral is very low today

I finally learned to play craps this weekend in Vegas,
won some money , bought my mom a nice gift. Things were good until I come home last night, sit on the taxiway at EWR for an hour upon arrival , an then find my Comcast DVR was wiped out .
All my recorded are shows gone :mad::mad:

Not cool. Can you get most of the shows you lost as streaming video online? ABC/CBS/Comedy Central are pretty good about making content available online. The only show I watch regularly is "Lost," and I'm glad it's available online, because I never am able to catch it during its regularly scheduled slot.

Surf The Channel - that's all I will say. Google is your friend.

I heart National Rent a Car. The Buick Lucerne is a fine automobile (well, it beats the Grand Marquises and Lincolns I used to drive to LFT when renting from Hertz). If I hadn't already downed a 32oz. "Orange Octane" daiquiri from the drive-thru down the road, I'd be out enjoying a ride.

I scored a brand new Impala LT with leather, XM, and 7 miles on the odometer this weekend. Too bad they average 23 mpg.

As if that wasn't enough! :td:

Yeah most of them are available online between their own site , and hulu.com
I watched "Lost" after everything was lost last night on abc.com, but i had seinfeld episodes on there and some south park that i would watch whenever there was nothing on regular tv.

Although I would like to ride in an IL-96-300, I think I'd take a Gulfstream.

I'd take a private IL-96-300. That would be one sweet ride.

Comcrap blows. Whether it is their DVR or customer service (or lack thereof), or pricing (rising way faster than inflation). I love my Tivo and Dish Net service. Comcast's service goes out as soon as a pigeon leaves a dropping over your house.:p

Partial synopsis from Barnes & Noble.com: Photos of the iconic plane's exteriors, engineering, specs, interiors, details - even an oversized photo of the place setting served in first class - are reproduced on the highest quality paper to pay tribute to the plane synonymous with speed, luxury, and style. A must-have collectible edition for anyone who flew on the Concorde or for any serious civil aviation enthusiast's library.

Didn't the Concorde offer only one class of service?

Did they ever switch to a live ATC feed? When I was there three years back (actually exactly three years ago this weekend ) the feed was a 15 minute loop and pretty boring. If you're without a car there is also a bus option from the Mall downtown, which is what we used. It is a pity that you can't go in the Concorde, but I would guess that the wear on it would render it no longer tour worthy pretty quickly.

The last time I was in the tower, they were playing a loop of day-old EWR ATC communications.

I'm pretty sure they did, but I only bolded it because of the FT minutiae obsession, and figured that an oversize photo of a plate setting would work as a selling point for someone.
