Is that an '04 or '05 STi? Are you on Nabisco... err Nasioc (another auto related forum)? I'll be joining you w/ my WRX in HOU by July. I am moving to take the place of ssullivan who is leaving HOU. :p Though, I am not as feminine. ;)

Yeah, about that. Technically it's like 6'4" and some fraction... so 6'4"-6'5"-ish. Hence the running joke about me using the CRJ lav.

Shareholders meeting.

I thought I had read it was Thurs., but the article I linked to says tomorrow. Anyway, If the shareholders vote "no" to issuing more shares, Mesa is up a creek.

Edited to add: Why Thurs. specifically? Because I'm on two DL X flight op. by Freedom. And I'm bad luck like that.

Great. They need to wait about two weeks before falling apart (well, falling apart even more than the usual flying disaster of an airline that is Mesa). I have tickets on them next week on an itinerary that really doesn't ahve any other options.

I use to be on nasioc all the time when I lived in RI. In fact, it was the old i-club community (before the split into two forums) that got me into track driving. I had a blue '02 WRX, and then the '04 STi (which I got used in 2006). But after I moved back to Houston, I hardly go to nasioc except when I need to search for specific info. I like the "Penalty Box" group more. :p

Last couple of years I've gone to the MSR track about 30 miles south of Houston many times, as well as Texas World Speedway in College Station twice. But I'm taking a break from the tracks this year...

The jitters are coming to an end. I finally have some travel planned for the weekend that involves a shiny aluminum tube.

ssullivan May 12, 2008 11:14 am

Where are you going?

Popping down to MEX for a quick look-see at the W down there, then starting up next week (Wednesday) with my ridiculous jaunt around Europe & Asia in the pointy end.

Glad the dry spell is coming to an end!

I guess I should start getting ready for this week's work trip, since I really should be leaving for the airport pretty soon... and I haven't even started to pack.

I'm afraid it's a relatively straightforward IAH-MEX-IAH routing. The EUA for my outbound did go through already, though ^

Ask your friendly apartment manager (for instance, me) and he will tell you that it is in fact OK and the law of the land that you may have a satellite dish for your apartment.

The kicker to this is that without permission you may not attach it to any part of the building nor put wiring thru any wall. As a practical matter, that generally restricts such devices to those who possess large picture windows or balconies facing south and who mount the dish on a chair or tripod type support.

I just changed my flight in from CVG and will arrive home about 2PM so an earlier start is now OK. If you would like that, let us know and I think that all of us now can get there a bit earlier.
