In other news, my Air Astana Gold Card showed up today (with luggage tags to boot)! :D :D :D. The Email they sent me implied that I wouldn't receive a card until completing some flight activity. Guess not.
EDIT: Are the luggage tags actual tags? It's hard to beat those CO luggage stickers... |

Here it is. Not the highest quality, but the Xerox here does a lousy job of scanning FF Cards.
EDIT - Yeah, real luggage tags. Leather straps, though, so I doubt they'll hold up. I'm only going to use one Tag, and will save the other for posterity. |

Nice! ^

Looks like it will make for some decent wallet candy. Definitely a rare item. I was expecting some more Kazakhstan flare though! :)

The card is actually a bit shinier than that grainy scan makes it out to be. Hidden in the Gold Background (and somewhat visible in the scan), is what looks to be a rendition of a cave painting of a mounted rider. But, yeah, not as exotic as one might hope.

I awoke at about 4am to what sounded like the end of the world. I've seen hurricanes with less wind .

Dear me, that's a lot of flights, and there I was getting excited about ATL-CDG-JNB-CDG-DTW-ATL all in J except for DTW-ATL in NW domestic F.
ALCO-what's the benefit of BD over UA in terms of FF programs? |
