Here it is. Not the highest quality, but the Xerox here does a lousy job of scanning FF Cards.

EDIT - Yeah, real luggage tags. Leather straps, though, so I doubt they'll hold up. I'm only going to use one Tag, and will save the other for posterity.

Looks like it will make for some decent wallet candy. Definitely a rare item. I was expecting some more Kazakhstan flare though! :)

It's sad that some small airline in Kazakhstan gives out better luggage tags then the 4th largest US carrier. :rolleyes:

The card is actually a bit shinier than that grainy scan makes it out to be. Hidden in the Gold Background (and somewhat visible in the scan), is what looks to be a rendition of a cave painting of a mounted rider. But, yeah, not as exotic as one might hope.

For a card design, I was kinda hoping for something along these lines.

But of course. I plan to use BD to get to Almaty, because I can use my GUVs to upgrade to biz on the LHR-ALA flight. Then, Air Astana will be the last chance for a modern aircraft before delving deeper into the 'Stans. Perhaps use them for an internal Kazakh flight to Atyrau (on the Caspian Sea), or Astana. I hope they'll let me guest some people into the Biz lounge at Almaty.

The Ashgabat-Baku LH flight might be a good opportunity for a discounted (Consolidator, perhaps) F fare on the LH A333.

ALCO-what's the benefit of BD over UA in terms of FF programs?
