I've been so out of it this season that I've missed the playoffs and just heard the news today. Rather sad, maybe next year.

What is/are your drink(s) of choice in the PClub? Pre-flight? In-flight?

Bloody mary in the morning. V&T in the afternoon. On board is a V&T pre-departure unless I still have the Sprite from my Happy Meal, in which case it is a V&Sprite. In the air is almost always red wine, though I'll switch back to V&T or even white wine if we finish off the red, which has happened more than once.

If you're lamenting the elimination of the Devils at the hands of twerpus maximus Sean Avery and puckhog sellout asshat Scott Gomez, then yes, agreed. It's odd: I would consider respecting Avery for his skill at rattling people only if he didn't look at the ref after every time he got cleanly nailed in open ice, clearly begging for an interference call. Can we say hypocrite?

And for those that would be curious, ^^^ to Marty Brodeur for blowing Avery off in the handshake line. The handshake line is all about sportsmanship, which Avery has none of. He is entitled to none in return.

I was in a hurry this morning and got McDonald's coffee. The woman working the window was nonchalant when handing me the cup (and didn't put the lid on all of the way). As I brought the cup into the car I spilled coffee all over my hand, burning it. I have a case of the "Tuesdays"

Instead of grabbing napkins my first thought was "take pictures for evidence!"

Then I realized my hand really hurt...

I hear ya. Last week on my flight to ORD, the CHQ FA dumped coffee all over my tray table, book, and miraculously not all over my shirt. Once we got that all cleaned up, she asked if I wanted cream in my coffee, then proceeded to pour that down my pants leg.

I was a sticky, gooey mess by the time I got to ORD ;)

Thanks, sdm1130! I get that email every week from CO - but it only lists the amazing deals from CLE... and as you can see from the list - not much to choose form most weeks. Certainly not BZE!!! :)

I think that three days should be plenty for Lima. There is the underground skulls thing, the well to do suburb thing, and downtown with some night life. It is interesting to see how people live in a city where the sun almost never shines.

I detest NY Rangers and join you in feeling sorry that they took out the Devs. :(

I have been working near DC this year and have grown to like this Capitals team as it grew up and picked up a couple of veterans. I don't think they have enough experience and moxie to win it all yet, but they will be contenders for the foreseeable future. ^

I am not ready to go to Montreal until game 7 Canadiens-Caps. I will not hesitate to call on you at that time if business obligations (and other aspects of life) do not interfere.

Neat. Any idea why EWR-BDA doesn't have anything showing up for the time frame it's supposed to be available. A bug?

No Stamp in Passport

I am now in Israel. When going through passport control, I asked the officer not to stamp my passport (as I may have to go to an Arab country for work in the forseeable future). She did not stamp it. She stamped a gate pass (to be able to leave passport control), and that was it. I have no other proof I was let into the country. Was she supposed to give me another paper to stamp something on? Am I screwed while attempting to leave TLV?

This is typical for countries where you don't put the stamp in your passport. Try not to lose the stamped card you have... ;)

Also, you can always get a second passport to help with this sort of situation.

Maybe I didn't write it the proper way. I don't have any stamped card or anything showing I am in the country. The card they gave me was the gate pass, so I could leave passport control and go to pick up my baggage. I wish I had a stamped card to lose. I'm wondering if the passport control agent forgot to give me one.
