I just couldn't justify a weekend in Laredo, even in the midst of travel-withdrawal shakes. :(
|
So I am looking at fares between AUS and MBJ and everything is fine except for the return trip only has R fares available for the 10:45pm IAH-AUS segment. If I pay an extra $200+ on each ticket I can make it back to AUS earlier.
I think I'll just take my chances with standby for the 30 minute hop. |

I am not ready to go to Montreal until game 7 Canadiens-Caps. I will not hesitate to call on you at that time if business obligations (and other aspects of life) do not interfere. As I've said to myself repeatedly, there's always next season. I'm going to be all over the schedule release weekend (should be in the first two weeks of July) because I want to start seeing the Devils on the road. I need more FlightMemory dots. And don't hesitate to ask for any ticket anywhere. ^^ |

Too bad you're going to miss out on that...the Flyers capped off the Caps last night, and filed under whodathunkit, the performance of Jeremy Roenick...not bad at all for late 30's, which is the sports equivalent of blue hair and multiple cat ownership...
I seem to observe that it is not unusual for hockey to have a heavier supply of over 40s than most other sports because it is played in aerobic 45 second bursts and more than a few older bodies can stand up to that sort of activity. |

Roenick has always been a pretty good player and kept himself in top condition. Also he is well-rested considering that he played comparatively fewer minutes this season and I think that he sat out game 6, but he certainly does not get better looking with time. :)

I needed an excuse for my 500th post. Kind of sad it's taken me 7 years.:D

Hard to talk anyhow, given the Delirium Tremens onset due to no impending travel. |

Otter, does your BIS count for the year include your BD awardgasm that's coming up in May?

My big decision now is how to get back from JFK on my Jul 4 trip. Do I opt for coach on a DL CR9 JFK-IAH (only JFK-IAH flight I can conceivably make), or do I make a CC Trade for some AA Gift Cards, so I can purchase JFK-MIA in F on the A300-600 (never flown one), overnight at MIA, then catch an early morning MIA-IAH on CO in time for work.
|
CR9 has certainty - CC Trading doesn't.
Only reason I was asking about A310 is that my mother just got invited on a Portugal and Spain junket, on which the equipment is 310x1 (EWR-LIS) 320x1 (SVQ-MAD) and 340x1 (MAD-JFK). IIRC, the 310 talk was centered on CO EQM for such trip...this one is *A and OW (Tap outbound, IB home). |

Y on an AA A-300 = ^^^. Not only is it adding a new equipment type to your list, but there's no way a Y seat on that plane could be more uncomfortable than a Y seat on any CRJ. Of course, if you have some masochistic love for the extremely cramped nature of the CR9's lavatory, well, then, go ahead and fly the thing. Personally I think all versions of the CRJ were designed with Little People and 6 year olds in mind. |
I just noticed that if you click on the number of posts next to a thread, it will give you a break down of how many times a particular user has posted to that thread.
