Good morning all. I'm going to hit the do/meet/thing Sat a.m. after 2 days in Vegas (so if I fall asleep during the breakouts, you'll know why). I'm taking the red eye in Sat a.m. so I should be nice and fresh! MR BL just laughed because he reminded me I was no longer 16 and that he didn't know how I was going to go party in Vegas for 2 days and then be Doready, but hey, I'll manage. I know there was talk of brunch on Sun, so we can make that since I'll be missing out on our before box meet/do/thing Fri. I'm still amazed that my almost 21 year old niece thinks the fun way to spend her bday will be with her mom, aunt and mom's best friend but okay

I must say, i'm quite impressed with SGN as an airport. The service is amazing. Apparently not many people connect here, so the poor girl was a bit confused. Though, she helped us and then walked us to the lounge.

The UA LAX-NRT flight was ok, sadly I couldn't find any cause for a skykit. :( But I did get to ride on the upper deck.

ANA flight from NRT-HKG was impressive. I can't believe how good ANA is, and I was in coach on that leg.

United's 744s need to be gutted and redone on the inside. They look like they are from the 70s.

DL has done some very nice things with ATL in recent years, but the problem IMO is still with the passenger flow through terminals. The gate areas always feel way too crowded and it makes getting to your gate a bit difficult at times.

Also, I feel like every time I fly through ATL, there is a hour+ weather delay.

The only good part of DL's set-up at JFK is the moving walkway connecting the two terminals. It's really bouncy (and therefore fun).

I love the bouncy walkways! I think it is FLL or MCO that has a good one, I cant remember. When ever I find one, the 5 year old in me comes out a little. :p

Thank you, sir. This interview is prep for the really important one next week. I can't see myself taking this job and lickety-split moving to within commuting distance of the city.

ETA: Fiancee has an interview today too - we shall see...

Best to you both!

It's a great airport - I don't think the lounges are anything special but are fine (though they are renovating one of the lounges so hopefully better to come). On the second level is a massage place that is pretty cheap (especially by airport standards) and they do a good job. It's relaxing and quiet and if you have extra time, a great way to kill it. There's also a decent restaurant up there and some inexpensive shops.

Wow, overnight ticket prices for IAH-ELP went from $340/each to $188. ^

That statement applies to practically every Boeing built aircraft in the UA fleet.

Now you tell me! :D

We're in the Dragon lounge and compared to the RCCs we've been seeing, this is quite a step up. (Though, I will say I was rather impressed by the RCC in HKG).

Plus, the wifi is free and my Tmo phone gets a UMA signal, so i can call back stateside and not have to pay the insane roaming fees. ^^

Duh! Why didn't I figure it out earlier??? My sister in law said we could all share one room and I just went ahead and booked a room for myself - I don't share rooms; especially when it will be with three (presumably) drunk people and 2 are single so :o who knows would could happen? It is Vegas after all. I'm hoping Planet Hollywood gives us at least one nice upgrade so that the birthday girl can enjoy life in style. You only turn 21 once ;)

Due to my new job and the new baby, I rarely come on to the Box anymore. Can someone point the post as to what/where/when the Box Meet will take place during the CO Meet IV? Thanks.

The talk right now is Empire Cafe or Gravitas for brunch on Sunday.

Now you know for next time ;)

The RCC lounge in HKG is great (not CX great, but great) especially the F lounge.

I like the crackery things they have in the lounge. They are a little sweet and I could probably eat 10 packages if I let myself.

Depending on the time, it looks like I can be there for that. I'll arrange to have off that Saturday. I now work weekends. :(
