Plus, everyone will be hungover from Saturday night. And, some people will have to get out of IAH Sunday morning.

From what I gathered from some of the posts, people were planning on taking later-in-the-day flights.

Again, I'm fine either way. If we'd like to plan something for Friday before the DO IV (dinner, drinks?) I can put together a list of places.

And some won't arrive into IAH until late on Friday and we'll all be out at the airport for the Friday-night part of the party and also probably will want to get up at a reasonable hour to be ready for the events on Saturday, which can start early.

I have no problem just heading back to the airport after the Friday night bit and leveraging a few PC memberships and drinking on CO's dime (and a couple rolls of dollar coins for tipping), but I don't know that a 30 minute drive to go drinking and then driving back makes a ton of sense.

Good point.

On Sunday, traffic is easy, there are FTers who would offer rides, and there are drinks served at all of the breakfast places (and not just mimosas and bellinis).

The Friday night event likely will go past the close of the P Clubs, in any case.

Plus there is the Pre-Do Drink and Meet in the PC in the afternoon on Friday. We have to make sure that we dont double up on the chances to drink. Spread out the drinking throughout the evening. The longer the better!

I can help get people into the terminal for drinks!

The Box mini-do is going to be on Sunday? Why not Friday before the main CO event?

Because I'll still be in Vegas ;)

Depending on the time, it looks like I can be there for that. I'll arrange to have off that Saturday. I now work weekends. :(

Are you still in the news field with the new job? If so why not make this an event the station wants to cover then you can enjoy the event and make money without taking off!

I was thinking of flying in Friday afternoon. I may take the boltbus from NYC departs at 730 and arrives in Phila at 930 and then book a 12:05 pm flight to houston. Is this a good idea? I dont want to be late and miss my flight.

I have never taken the boltbus before so I dont know how reliable they are.

Count us in for rides. We can shuttle to brunch and then back to the airport.

Perhaps you could teleconference in from the LAS PC to the Friday night event!

The E PC closes at 11:30. No better way to Do the DO than close down the PC two nights in a row (if we go there again!).

Brunch sounds so geriatric for the likes of the Box.

I turn 42 this week so I resemble this remark

Brunch involves drinking - that is what makes it very box like.

sdm1130 Nov 24, 2008 12:49 pm

We plan on arriving around 2pm on Friday and departing around 4pm on Sunday. I will probably rent a car, so I can offer rides to Box members needing a lift.
