Ok how do some of you taller people use the F lav on 737's?
Although I can say that I've perfected the art of peeing at a vertical recline of 20 degrees. I accomplished this perfection by practicting at home, which I highly recommend. To get the full effect, you have to have someone drop the toilet seat at unpredictables intervals. I swear there's a button in the cockpit that makes the seat drop, to the amusement of the captain and first officer. "folks, from the cockpit,... we got the gentleman in 2A. Nope, that's not water on his pant leg." Maybe 737 lav urination accuracy should be a competition at the DO (right after the tug races)! Let me weigh in on some other pressing box topics: The Riviera Maya is nice, but it's quasi Cancun. Do Cabo if you're going the brown water route. I've been on both Carnival and RCCL (my dad's a travel agent) and yes, the food on Carnival has exceeded RCCL's as of late. No joke. I really, really, really try and avoid using lavs on airplanes. But I have this little condition that prevents coffee or alcohol from staying in my body for more than 20 minutes. If I fly before noon, there's coffee involved. If I fly after... Can definitely recommend the Hotel Pulitzer in BCN. Close to the Le Meridien, but about 1/4 of the price (but still nice). Regarding the Hilton TYS airport, I was staring at it longingly as I waited forever for my rental car. I wish it was an option but I'm on a team that's sequestered at this... uhm... location. 12 more hours... 12 more hours... During my run today I ran past a trailer park called the Hillbilly Hilton. If I have time tomorrow I'll try and grab a picture with my crackberry camera. I was about to apologize for steering the box South (I wasn't around all day, didn't know it was dead in here) and then I realized that my post was the very reason that ALCO created this little play pen for the tired, drunk, frustrated masses yearning to let loose with random rants on FT. |

I'm pretty sure her teacher thinks that she makes up most of her trips because one day she asked me "Was she really in California over the weekend?" so I can just see her going back next week and her teacher not believing her when she said she saw the Eiffel Tower ;) Paris, TX she would believe though!

...I do however reccommend the Hotel 1898 in Barcelona , even though it has the glass door effect , the hotel is excellent .
I was suppossed to stay at Le Meridien across the street but it was sold out since all the Starwood Employees that are here for the same Feria which I am attending are staying there.

Wow, you guys have been busy tonight. I just got home from a dinner at the Capital Grill with Maria Bartiromo and her husband John Steinberg (and about 10 other people). I am really jealous about the travel that Maria gets to do. I get to go to another event tomorrow that she will be at too^

Clocking in at 6'8" and more to love, I invite each of you to join me on my LAS - IAH flight for the DO. I will perform the, "Fitting Mackie into a 737 forward lav" trick which will both shock and amaze. But mostly shock. You should see the eyes of the other people in F after the FA puts away the giant shoehorn and can of Crisco. It's awesome being at least twice and, in some cases (sfogate?), three times as large as anything else on the aircraft.

This happened to my brother when we moved to the States (1st grade). The teacher thought he was liar and told him he had to do a report about all the places he kept talking about. I like how she didnt just call my parents and ask them. So the next day he went to school with a huge poster with about 40 photos of some of the places he had been to. (we still have it 24 years later). I wonder how stupid the teacher felt!:D
The next day I returned with my mother, who taught up the hill at the high school, and a National Park Service brochure from that very site in Concord, Massachusetts. I got a 100 on the test, and he never argued with me again. The vast majority of the students in my class at that point had never flown on an airplane, and many had never left the state of Texas. They were stunned that I not only argued my case to the extent I did, but that I had actually visited many of the places we were learning about in that class. A lot of them were also mad when their test grades were lowered because they had selected Concord, New Hampshire from the multiple choice list. I certainly didn't win any friends on that one. |

You're supposed to lift the lid first? I always wondered why my shoes got so wet. ;)

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood when The Box delves into pee, poop, and drinking stories. And in the cases of some (sfogate) the confluence of all three.
