I just cracked open a freebie bottle of Dry Cypriot Red that I got from the Le Meridien Limassol. Cab, Maratheftiko (native Cypriot varietal) and Mataro blend. Very tasty. The Greeks know how to make amazing wines. Pity they keep all the good ones for themselves and ship us Retsina.

Nah...I actually already lost my quick 20 this year. And I did it by NOT traveling so much. It seriously cut down on my alcohol intake and I dropped 15-20 in a hurry.

You can find a good Greek wine in the states; it is just really hard. We even had a good Retsina at dinner the other night at a Greek place here. They had quite a wine list, though pretty pricey, even for NYC.

My strategy is to switch frequently between Wine, High-Grade Beer, and Whisky. It keeps the liver guessing, and the pounds off. I am going may 8-11. This was the only time that I can get 3 days there without connecting in DFW and having an overnight layover.
