The high temperature here today was 36. It's now back down to 33 and looks rather murky outside.

It is snowing in Katy. I repeat, white death is falling from the sky in West Houston in early December. The end is nigh. Run for your lives!

I look forward to the evening commute. It looks like flurries are being reported along the I-45N Corridor. This ought to be rather entertaining.
We had a band of it move through the Dallas area last night, and as soon as it passed us by you couldn't even tell that there had been a little snow and sleet. And it lasted maybe five minutes. |

And here I am considering a move to Houston for warmer weather... :p
And in July and August, you'll be begging for a winter day. Trust me. |
Just checked out the window. A light sleet is falling. ^

My 15 minute commute became two hours. It sucked. People freaked out, took out traffic lights and drove 5mph out of fear. If I hadn't had to drive in it, i would have been on the side of the road LMAO. |

People in Dallas can't drive in winter precip, either. I chalk it up to people from Dallas being idiots. They usually get hit by at least one ice storm per year, so should be used to it. We are on the receiving end of flurries about once every 8-10 years.
And last night, it didn't even cause a blip in rush hour traffic. |

They handle it better than Houston drivers, or at least they did when I was in college up here in the early-mid 1990s.
