I have the pleasure of holiday shopping today - I enjoy the shopping, but not the crowds.

I have some shopping to do today too - does anyone know if 1GB flash drives are still out there at all? I have a 2GB and I want to get my fiancee something smaller than that because she has a lot less crap on her computer than I do mine.

I'm sure there are, and they're probably dirt cheap. However, if you can't find one, and you see a cheap 2GB one, might as well go for the larger size.

I remember when I bought a 256 KB flash drive and thought it was huge. And it cost me about $50 too!

My latest flash drive purchase was a 16 GB drive on Woot for less than $15, including shipping.

If you can find one that small it almost certainly won't be significantly cheaper than anything else you find. Just buy whatever is out there at the price point and don't worry about the size.

There are even some cute blingy and fashion ones out there if that's what you are going for. Not sure if those are 1 or 2 GB.

Have none of you heard of online shopping? :D

Egg nog should be the first thing you do in the morning. Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. :D

I get to go to party tonight (which is a post golf tourney party) that is 1/2 liquor/wine distributors; 1/2 employees of MR BL's company. How great is that? Only the good stuff will be there!!!

ssullivan, does a diversion during a flight, followed by a hold at the airport to which the flight diverted, then a continuation to the original destination count as an additional route/line on Flightmemory?

I've decided to count diversions, which results in an IAD-DCA line for me.

I'm not ssulivan, but did the plane touch down? If so, then it counts. Even if it was a touch and go. Even FAA considers a touch and go a landing for the purposes of logging. If it's good enough for FAA, it's good enough for FM. :D

I'm getting a suntan here at the IAH E PC for another hour. At which point I'm off to Roatan. :D

On a side-note, it never ceases to amaze me how obscenely long a 753 is.

Yes - in each case, they touched down and stayed at the diversion airport for more than an hour (more than two hours, in a few cases).

I'm jealous. I was looking at the NYC-SAP fare in the MR forum and trying to make it work as an anniversary trip. Don't think it is going to happen, but I really want it to.
