G' morning, Box. A chilly 16 degrees here and a very cold walk with the dog. It's decorating weekend, trying to decided when to break out the egg nog.

Don't let them count you. It's some sort of conspiracy. Break out the tin-foil hats and the booze. I'm doing my part and enjoying an 08:20am Gin & Tonic. Viva la PWP!

Keep it cold up there. We're skiing near BTV for New Year's :D

True, you'll need that cold for snow-making;)...no real snow to speak of yet.

Quick note for rolov:

DL threw a party in NY last night to which I was invited but could not get to in time. I sent out my guest invites to some of the NY FTers that I knew were in town (I knew you were not) and a couple of the Box denizens did in fact show up there. Ergo the posts in the Delta Forum Lounge thread.

I understand that compared to the last Delta Bash, this one was pretty much of a dud.

Yup...gbryan84 and I went. I have to say that a couple $5 32 ounce beers immediately prior to the event made it much more tolerable.

There were maybe a total of 10 customers that visited throughout the night. No booze - hot cocoa only - and a couple plates of mini-dessert things. We had some entertaining conversations with the SVP for New York and a manager in the Customer Communications group. We told them about the CO Do and encouraged them to do something similar. We also talked about mileage runs, fare mistakes and other fun travel stories. But the event was pretty weak.

Nope. Catman was the originator of getting FTers together. Catman-do...haha, I get it.

So I guess the DL party was no match for the one I saw on Ace of Cakes not too long ago when the Charm City Cake crew built a 767 out of cake?

Ummm..NO, more like 4 platters with finger sweets. The sad thing was that there was a bar where we were but they didnt start serving until the event was over and it was open to the public.

Decorating is taking on a different meaning for me today - I have to hang one more piece in my newly repainted bedroom, decide if I want to bring a TV from downstairs in here, and do our version of Christmas decoration...a paltry one string of icicle lights. I truly don't know why we decorate at all - we're not home and we are always in FLL. What's the point of dressing up a house that you're not occupying at the time?

I have fallen behind in the DO thread, has there been any word of when sign-up will start?

Also, any preferences for breakfast from that list of places I posted?

A better question is, if CO offers free haircuts, will you accept the offer? :D

Because there are all those days before then. That's my reasoning. We're gone as well (and always are, but it doesn't stop me) but I love the whole Christmas everywhere. I have to say this year has been extra fun because BL JR actually cares about Christmas and helped with the decorating.

MR BL did realize that there were three extra trees - not because he noticed the trees but because he noticed the boxes in the garage!!!

Not really.

In any event, there will be plenty of room for everyone who wants to go.
