Chase is the worst...A few months back they froze my account with about $10k in it because a $2,500 check bounced. I had over 100k in deposits YTD through June 2008 and they decided to close my account because they thought I was a risk. The VP of the branch was clueless when he looked through my short 6 month history but said he couldnt do anything about it and it was their risk management's decision. I later closed my Chase Presidential Plus and milked them for 30k United miles in the process.:p

I paid off my auto loan through Chase a few weeks ago and I didn't hear anything. So I called up and asked how I could get a clean copy of my title. They asked me to send them $10. I told them I wasn't selling the car, so I didn't need it overnighted, and they could send it regular mail. I'd be happy to pay .42, or even $2 for certified. So now I'm playing a game of chicken with Chase over my title. Whatever, it's just $10 but it comes back to that whole bilking customers thing. What's this $10 worth to Chase? Apparently it means so much they'll be happy to lose the multiple accounts I have with them. (My problems with Chase are much deeper than the auto loan thing. But, it's symoblic of their a$$hattery.) |
I love that payment receipt crap that soooo many of the banks use to hide their inefficiencies. I even got dung once when I made the damn payment in person days ahead of the due date and their staff failed to post it. Similar issues with telephone payments, wiring and the like.
Back in the day it was fun having banks tell me that it was not their issue if they sent the statements to another address or if it took a week for the statement to get to my house because of their mailing service they used. |

Is there something special about seats 6C and 11D on the "four rows of first" 737-800s?
I am looking at two completely random (empty) flights and those seats are blocked, along with the normal blocking. |
They did tell me I could pay directly on their website... but why should I pay them differently than I pay everyone else. Again, I told them no thanks.
Maybe I should start sending back those almost-daily offers for a CO-Chase card that come in the mail. Hehehe. Seriously, I wonder at what point, after they have sent me 100 of those things, will they decide that I don't want that card. |

Cut him some slack - he pays a TON of money ( a long time CO*)
I was rather taken back by the whole EUA riff-raff comment. CO* or not. I don't know, I guess I'm of the mind-set that when I buy transportation I am buying transportation. Everything else is just the cat's meow. If I don't like the product that's being delivered I either pick-up and move to another airline or I deal with it. Does the poster have a legitimate complaint? Sure. Did they communicate it in a manner that won't dilute their actual complaint? ... debatable. I was so  after reading that post I felt compelled to reply, but didn't. Which is why I threw a little nugget in here, where it'll be buried amongst the other riff-raff. I know talking about other posters is vorbotten, so, in the interest of not being sent to the cornfield, I'll shut up now. I was trying to behave. Honestly. |

Fair enough. Which is why I'm not replying to the thread.

I appreciate you restraining the comments as it does make my life easier. I think Weatherboy has a valid point to address the point that CO's first class product does not live up to what they market.. Given the premium they charge - and he pays - for first class than I think he should have all the right to express his displeasure. I too think the food up front is getting borderline nasty, but I do not complain about it as I typically do not pay for the first class seat.
