I have two upcoming opportunities to be a VDB Slut. FLL on 12/22 doesn't yet look bumpable, but I'm hoping that the last few Y seats do go. And I deliberately picked the 5pm flight home from IAH for the bumpability and the brunch attendance, but not in that order.

I will be at the DO for early morning drinks on Saturday, February 7. I plan to be feeling giddy by the time I land at IAH (around 07:45). All who please can feel free to assist me in getting even giddier in the PC prior to my PTY flight (I reckon I'll have a good 45 minutes in the PC to do some more damage). If y'all are successful, perhaps I will even be denied boarding. I think you get extra points if you are IDBed due to drunkenness before 09:00.

I am flying to HKG the day after Christmas and the flight appears completely full. I would consider a bump if they had more than just the one flight a day. If they offer me enough, I would reroute and take another carrier, but I doubt they would

A Bump on that route would likely entail Significant $$$. Research your options in advance and see what you might be able to score as a reroute. Personally, I would aim for a carrier in a different alliance (like CX or NH ex-JFK). That way, you can claim original routing credit on CO, and snag a pile of miles on another alliance, as well. Plan possible alternatives in advance, and suggest them to the GA if they are seeking volunteers. It never hurts to ask.

I've seen some TLV bumps go as high as $700. HKG is probably in that range if not a smidge higher, precisely because of there being only one flight per day.
