AFAIK, AA's magazine stuff still works (just used up the last of my miles on them last month).

CO's on the other hand, is spotty.

Agree! This forum scared me when I first lurked. It's much more hospitable (most of the time) now!

Also agreed. I did not get to meet xyzzy but I did spend some time with MBM3 at the IAH E PC after the Do, and I continue to applaud their efforts.

MBM3 is a fun time. I would happily venture back to CLE for any Do/Meet/Thing that he is kind enough to organize.

I saw a few planes at the south gates when I was there on Friday afternoon. I was surprised as I always thought they left from the main terminal.

One gotcha, if you're not an elite AAdvantage member, you have to transfer at least 25k. If it's easy to get the 20k, i'd go for it. Worse comes to worse, you could redeem the 25k for a ticket. (A free tix is a free tix).

I'm currently doing the Hyatt 20k promo to hit the 25k in my AA account. I wouldn't buy the 20k miles, but if you can find a promo to get them, go for it. Then I'm on the fence if I transfer them into HH or just get a ticket for someone.

I somehow managed to miss MBM3 the entire weekend. I know I met him at DOs ago, but that was a long time away. xyzzy on the other hand i see as regularly as I was in the principal's office in school. (Well, not really but it sounds good. :)
