IMHO, oil and breading cannot remove the nastiness from a pickle. (In fairness, I can't do most foods that are placed in holding tanks of liquid...pickles, capers, olives...yeggh.)

Pimpslap air finally did its first round of expansion.

Have no worries you will be hot, sweaty and get a nasty sunburn every day that you are there. Don't be like most tourist and forget to use sunblock on the back of your knees, the top of your feet if you're wearing flip flops (also known as jap slaps, zoris or slippas in Hawaii) and around your ears and neck.

I noticed the National Weather Service forcast has a chance of rain all days. Tuesday's rainis before noon so I'll go back to my orginal plan of doing nothing on Monday and Tuesday and then go on a tour on Wednesday to the north shore before going to the airport.

I do hope ABC has Coppertone Sport in the spray can as that's the only way I can get to the hard to reach areas and the spray can is too big for carry on. Now I do wish the HNL PC's had showers but then a big boo to Chase for not getting me my PC passes yet.:(

Brituchenite, I look forward to meeting you as well. Just let me know when you are passing thru SFO and I would be happy to hang out in the PClub with you.

Don't worry about the rains. ABC has everything you want and they are on every street corner in Waikiki. There use to be a place at the airport, called the Shower Tree, where you could rent a cot and shower for a short period of time. Check and see if they moved to an off airport location nearby and use their services.

I think I can do mine tomorrow. My 763's are tomorrow and two more 734's are Monday. It'll probably end up getting pushed to Monday since tomorrow is couples day - she's working late tonight and will be sleeping in. Maybe I can get it done before she wakes up.

SuperGeorge1955 and everyone else in The Box:
Whenever there is an aircraft swap to a different type of aircraft make sure you check with the GA for new boarding passes. As you found out not all seats transfer to the same seat assignments. When this stuff happens the System produces a reac list of old to new seat assignments. The GA is suppose to pull this list to double check for new seating. (Insider info: How to pull this list: 6:LD(flight number)#reac)

Yeah DL did that to me and I got stuck in the middle seat on a 763.

The system is suppose to seat you in a like seat unless you're in a non-existed seat, on the new plane and then you get what's ever left over. The system doesn't seat couples together if they are in separate PNRs, especially if you have different last names. I am not sure why this happens but it does.

After playing AM for 2.5 days, I felt like our "world" does reflect the real world in some ways:

N. America has lots of traffic, but lots of competition. I think at least 10 of the 15 airline are based in N. Am.

Asia has lots of airports, and much less competition. But the major traffic centers are fairly quite far apart.

Europe has lots of airports and traffic, but not as much competition (unless more people set up bases there). And the major traffic centers are very close together. [My single 734s based in CDG makes more money than any of my other plane in Asia on its first day of operation there. No wonder you have Ryanair and easyjet in real life that's also doing very well.]

Anyways, I'm anxious to see the economies of the longhaul flights in the AM world. Then I'll decide whether to do more short-hauls or longhauls. If the economies of the longhaul are like SQ and CX in real life, that's fine. If they are like Oasis, then they're domed. I won't buy my 744s yet.

my plan is to totally crush the domestic US market, with some international routes. I am going to be the southwest with a deltaesque route plane.

I am currently imagining all of you playing AM cornering Larry at the next DO with your new insights as to how to run an airline. I wonder if Larry's plays this game.

I'm just wondering if he gets anywhere near the case of blue balls the rest of us get while we wait for new aircraft to be delivered. It appears that the Boeing factory is subject to the same delivery delays as those we experience in the real world.

I touch all but three or four North American airports, so get in line bub. :)

I'm sure he does, plus he gets to deal with all of the employee groups too. :D
