How early 1980's of him. Tell him it was only done with LaCoste shirts, you know, the shirts that cost more than Polo.

He's almost 15 and is a freshman in high school. He's grown a few inches this year and is still growing. Right now he's either 6'0 or soon to be.

SuperGeorge1955 and everyone else in The Box:
Whenever there is an aircraft swap to a different type of aircraft make sure you check with the GA for new boarding passes. As you found out not all seats transfer to the same seat assignments. When this stuff happens the System produces a reac list of old to new seat assignments. The GA is suppose to pull this list to double check for new seating. (Insider info: How to pull this list: 6:LD(flight number)#reac) Oh yeah, I knew about it and got us new seats. I got screwed on the second change of seats when the GA didn't tell the GA working next to him what he was doing and the other GA took one of the seats I'd asked for. It was almost as big a cluster F%$# as the post I did last year about the change from 762 to a 772 where they did the extra 25 EUA's as battlefields on the plane while it was still boarding. It was really funny listening to people asking where rows K and L were. |
I miss free standby. It was so nice this past week just being able to go up to the counter and ask for a standby pass with out having to fork over $25. It is so sad, but UA seems to have a more pro-customer approach than CO.
For example. CO EWR-TPA flight is full except for 1F seat. GA says I can pay 25$ but I wont get off the standby list because there are no coach seats. I am welcome to buy the F seat for a mere $400 for a seat that I would get as a free EUA. I pass UA SFO-ORD flight is full except for 1F seat. I am #1 on standby list. GA clears me into F and I am on my way. Every UA agent I talked to was eager to help me with my requests (save 1 who seemed to be angry that I was on a$64.00 transcon ticket). While every CO agent I have asked has said apologetically "that is not possible." I can only conclude that UA gives more latitude to the front line staff to address issues and concerns, than CO does. I guess I am just sipping the UA cool-aid. |

Don't get me wrong, there is a whole host of things wrong with UA. But in some areas UA does a better job than CO.
