You can do it to qualify but not to requalify. And now there is a fee associated with it. But it isn't a horrible deal.

hahahahahaha I got a real chuckle out of this, as long as you don't mind camping in DFW airport on a cot provided by THE AIRPORT they treat you just dandy! then slumming it on a ghetto bus and not getting mileage credit(fought for it and got it) I was just hundred of miles away from status on them when I gave up and said forget it I can't stand the stress of flying american.

I'm wondering if there was some problem because you could hear the engines being run up and then idled.

I saw a US 319 do a touch and go a couple of weeks ago at SEA.

I'm starting to think that CO isn't for my limited needs, either. Thanks to ALCO, I'm considering opening an LH account or ceasing my ignorance to the fact that I have a US account. I was so pissed off at US that I wanted nothing to do with their program....I had 5k in there and donated it to Fisher House. Good cause and good riddance. I can't cut ties with CO mile-wise because I have 55K banked and am saving for HKG in BF. I also have very little memory of flying anyone but CO while growing up, and I'm very used to them. I just feel kinda weird on anyone else.

I'm enjoying my new favorite cocktail, best enjoyed at a DL CRC (as they have decent Bourbon). Bourbon, Cran-Apple Juice & Ginger-Ale. Quite tasty. ^

Experimentation is required with the volumes of ingredients, but I have found Absolut Peach, passionfruit, and ginger ale to be very much yummy.

I have yet to see an Australian blond that isn't cute.

I guess my experiences were out of the norm them. The first time I flew AA a tornado touched down off 114 and hail the size of golf balls was coming down. They told me they couldn't pay for the hotel but would get me to nearest hotel that was available and put me on the next flight out.

Especially one that says "no worries" every other sentence.

It depends, do you plan on doing international travel? For me, I've switched all my international travels to UA and it's been quite nicer on my wallet.

Paying $1800 for an H fare and then miles was getting old. Now, my average ticket cost is $800 and i can use a SWU. My last YVR-ORD-LHR-LAX run cost me $606 in W, which is one of the upgradable classes.

For me, I'm too cheap to pay the W fare for SWU usage when cheaper fares are there. Plus, I'm halfway to 1MM and I want that before I switch loyalty.

The nice thing about UA is that the W fares are often not that bad, in most cases it's an extra $100 over the lowest coach price, in my experience at least. Plus, i've been able to convince a RCC agent let me use a SWU on a non-upgradable fare.

I'm on my first Express flight in years this week, maybe i'll get to meet her. :)

I dunno...every time I see a post in the MR deals forum I see the W fares as much more expensive, more than a hundred dollars to be sure. Maybe less of an issue on non-deals, but that isn't going to help me much since those are where I focus my travel spend. I also settle for flying in Y on the international flights to save cash, so I realize that I am not typical in that regard. I've only ever done a co-pay upgrade once, and it was this recent trip to NRT where the total cost was still low enough for me to justify it.

One more reason to keep milking it til it's dry.

I'd very much like to head to the West Country during harvest season and get absolutely shattered on real Scrumpy, fresh from the cidery. When I lived in Edinburgh, I had a friend from Milton Keynes who made a Scrumpy pilgrimage every Autumn.

West Country is wonderful. I loved living there. I had my fair share of scrumpy! Great while you're drinking it, but oooooh the next day is not good!!! I went to University in Cardiff. Great city for students.

I rarely fly anyone other than CO, and it feels weird to me, too, to be on another carrier. I'm over half way to 1MM, so I think I'm going to stick with CO instead of trying to gain status with someone else.

What routing at you looking at? I was thinking of just doing EWR-TXL for $298+ but if there is a more interesting routing, I'm all ears.

Job Titles?

Box, I need your help!

I've got to come up with a job title and need some cool sounding ideas.

FWIW I'm staring work in the financial service/insurance sector at a small firm if that helps.

Any suggestions?
