I am surprised to hear that ALCO and J. Edward are considering AA for their secondary program.

AA has an alright product and pretty good irrops handling but overall I think they are similar to UA and can afford not to be the best based on pure volume.

My mind has been racing on what my second program will be and I too may return to AA since status with UA will be pointless once CO enters the *A (at least for me).

I shall taunt you again with my naughty BRS landing video.

I see CO expanded their foreign language-fluent FA program to UK as well...

:( There goes the idea of using a *G arrivals lounge in SYD (assuming such a thing even exists).

Just purchase a refundable trans-tasman ticket on NZ, then refund after using their lounge. The NZ lounge in SYD is actually worth going to such extremes, IMO. Great showers, and an excellent food/alcohol selection.

Au contraire. My secondary program will be either AY or BA. BA because I already have 40K banked there, and want to redeem for 2x U.S.-SCL-IPC tickets in Biz, and AY because they offer 200% earnings (RDM and EQM) on AA Q-UPs. Haven't decided which to do, yet.

Not completely true. If you can make 1k, it's still worth a lot for the SWUs if you plan on doing any international travel. That really is the sole reason I pursue 1k at this point.

C on UA > Y on CO.

Good suggestion. We will be arriving from SIN, so would we just transit back to the NZ lounge and just leave the airport when done using the lounge?

I have no clue why people live in MK. I know people there and they can't give me a good answer. I call the train station Chav Central.

The pilot was UK too. I've come across a fare share of UK FA's on domestic flights.

Ahhh. I thought about BA for the simple reason of getting to IPC on LA but can't see myself doing a lot of Q-UPs on AA to make it worth it.

C on UA > Y on CO.

So would it be worth it for me to attain 1k on UA and stick with say Silver or Gold on CO?

SFO-LAX-MIA-CUN for $530a/i in F was what had piqued my Q-UP curiosity.

I had that for a dental implant and bone graft. I'm not so sure what the conscious part of that sedation was. The only thing I remember is Pink singing "Lets Get the Party Started" on the headphones they gave me, the IV being started and then the weird noise of them scraping bone from my jaw.

It's also what they give you when you get your butt scoped during a colonoscopy. Unfortunately, as I have a history of colon cancer in the family, I'll get to enjoy the "experience" in just two short years.

I'm enjoying my new favorite cocktail, best enjoyed at a DL CRC (as they have decent Bourbon). Bourbon, Cran-Apple Juice & Ginger-Ale. Quite tasty. ^
