I wish I had gotten to experience the Kai Tak Checkerboard Approach before it closed. Am glad I got to do TGU (which is still open/operating). That's one entertaining approach.

I did Kai Tak from the cockpit of a 747. ^ I was traveling with guys who were Quantas customers. Amazing experience.

So, here is an update

After being denied at the koru club I went to the primary option and went to buy a refundable united ticket.

That option did not pan out witj the effncicy i wanted and I went to the secondary option. All I really wanted was a shower so I found a 24 he fitness that was in walking distance of the airport. They said 10$ for a one-time pass an I was in like flinn

However, when I got there the guy let me in for free. The shower was glorious. I also worked out as well.

I am going to make sure that when I do get into the koru club on this trip I will drink them dry.

Beyond that I am just hanging outside security in lax untill tomorrow morning.

The video of this FedEx MD-11 crash at NRT is incredible. Warning: the video might be a bit much for some...

My thoughts go out to the family of the crew that unfortunately did not survive.

Some poor baby didn't like my BRS landing video and put in a sort of nasty comment about me have an electronic device on. They even use all caps. :rolleyes:

The video looks like it was taken from the NWA lounge over the gates were CO goes in and out. It is yet another said day in aviation between this crash and the one in Butte, Montana.

My thoughts are also with all the families going through these tough events.
