In an effort to deviate the Box conversation from AM (just a little ;)), what are your plans for your first mileage redemption once CO joins Star?

I'm leaning towards 2x C rewards to JNB/CPT on a mix of LH, SA and possibly LX.

I was thinking JNB/CPT or possibly NRT.

I am thinking to move.....its so crowded! but I will dominate all :D

I really wish you could see where the other airlines were based before making your decision on where to set up your base. Just one of several things in the game that annoy me.

I hope we don't have to deal with Starnet Blocking or mixed carrier limitations

That is almost impossible to get.

Oh, less surprising to me then. I've had more upgrades at Residence Inns than any other Marriott brand. My favorite was the Residence Inn in Tyler, TX, where I stayed when working on a project there in 2005-2007. They frequently upgraded me to a two bedroom loft suite, with the kitchen, living room, den/bedroom, and bath on the main floor, and then a loft master bedroom and bath upstairs.

My only gripe with Residence Inn is the stupid 5 points per dollar spent, instead of 10 points per dollar. If they didn't have that I'd stay there a lot more often. But when it's Residence Inn for half the points, or a Courtyard or full-service Marriott/Renaissance for the full amount of points, Residence Inn loses, even if it's a better overall value for the money spent (which it usually is).

The inability to completely research a route before buying a gate is also stupid. Charge me the market research fee up front, before I invest in a gate, and let me see the passenger load information before I rent a gate. That way, if the route is going to totally suck, I'm out a few thousand in one-time market research fees, not a lot of money on the gate plus the market research fee. That's how it would work in the real world anyway.

Hopefully not. CO has been pretty good in that regard in SkyTeam. I hope it continues with Star.

The impossible just takes a little longer. Optimism man.

Note to openskies, doubling your price and offering a "free" companion ticket is not a deal.

I completely agree. I almost didn't stay there due to the five points issue.

In other news, for the Box's viewing pleasure, Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare style.

LH F, LX F, or NH F, depending on where I need to go at a given time and assuming we will be able to redeem for F at reasonable rates.
