So I am in barnes and nobles, and there is this guy who is talking to himself. He sounds like he is watching a porno, but he is reading sporting news. I don't get it.

Duct tape on NW seems to be rare (and 3/4 of my flights are NW).

They've gotten much better about not using duct tape and putting their panels back in properly so they aren't out of alignment after the big maintenance checks. CO is great about putting their planes back together.

I can't recall ever seeing duct tape holding things together on a CO aircraft.

I'd thing they'd ground the plane first before getting out the tape.

So - I break down and join FT and of course the my first post has to be in the Box.

I once flew Medan (Sumatra) to Penang (Malaysia) on Garuda back in the early 80's and the whole window panel was falling off! They didn't even try to duct tape it, they just left it hanging!!!

Needless to say, I've never set foot on a Garuda airplane since!

Baglady, what sort of Mother are you . No private plane and no pony. Shame on you !!!! :D

Of course, there are always Polly Pocket planes and My Little Pony's. That's one way around it!!!

Something is truly wrong with me. I was asked to go to Dallas both this week and next week and I said I wouldn't go twice  If it were two separate cities, I would have no issue and maybe if it was somewhere other than Dallas, I'd be fine :p

I almost forgot!

Happy Texas Independence Day!

I will be celebrating by undergoing the "Drinking of Texas Beer" ritual this evening. Apparently, it's the law.

Not true.

I had one experience with a plane that arrived at SFO and was struck by lightning while landing. They said that they had to duct tape something on the exterior of the plane to get it back to EWR. As we were already delayed a couple hours and were coming home from SYD I didn't mind them doing that to get the plane up in the air. I assume that they fixed it for real when the plane got to EWR, but I stopped caring too much as I made it home just fine.

Greetings from on an airplane. I'm still amazed I'm fixin to get out of NY. LGA CO ops seem to be fairing pretty good.

No one is jetway surfing today, which is mildly disappointing.
