Where at IAH is Shipley's? I've probably walked past it loads of times, but I generally ignore fast food and hence never notice anything in the IAH food courts except the BBQ.

Yep. Terminal B food court, next to the McDonald's (kind of across from the stairs/elevator to the B PC).

I can't recall ever actually visiting IAH terminal B.

Gute Nacht, mein B:rolleyes:x...

Are the "premium" economy seats on VX and B6 released at the gate or will they send the plane out with these seats empty if no one pays extra for them?

LH is getting ready to gut BD. As of may 1, F goes to 2.5xbase (was 2), and LH F has a 10,000mi premium on top of that.

Your in trouble now. The real question is does he have as much time on his hands as you do to catch up on 840+ pages at 40 posts a page???? No, not even close. My time here will limited to drive-bys. Or perhaps write-bys. |

Why would you depend on an airline forum to provide you your apples? You should bring your own apples. Anyway, even if you didn't bring your own apples, a quick search would have yielded 193 previous threads where apples were discussed.
Baglady Jr firmly believes that the PC is where apples come from. As soon as she walks through the door she's deciding between red or green. Now, why she thinks we'd drive 50 miles, commune with the TSA, and hop a moving walkway just to get a cello-wrapped apple is beyond me - but it fits with her worldview. ;) Sorry, just couldn't help myself on that one. I'll be good now. |

Did you ever "M-X Psychoanalyze-pinhead" in EMACS? That tied the input and output of the ELIZA and the Zippy filters together. What fun we had in those days.:rolleyes:

I used to program in PostScript ... the printer would think for minutes before spitting out a page of output. People thought it was broken while it just sat and flashed. A few times I had my jobs lost when people power cycled the printer to clear the stuck job.

Also, for those of you looking at MRs and throwaway ticketing and dupe booking on the same flight, don't do it. My two reservations on CO 767 SEA-IAH tonight are causing all sorts of trouble. I cannot change/discard the one until I actually get to SEA tonight and then I basically have to convince the PC agent to trash those segments. I would've paid the change fee and moved those flights to a different day but the agents I talked to told me not to because it was more expensive that way. Hopefully the agent in SEA tonight can deal with it OK.

That's a known FT bug. For some reason random posts every so often lose the power of capitalization.

I was impressed by our LHR-based UA flight attendants on our recent trip. They were outstanding, in both directions. I was a little scared on our return flight, as their average age was approaching 70, and based on previous experiences with UA FAs, old has often equaled rude, grouchy, surly FAs, but not at all in this case. The group of ladies working Y on that flight were top notch, incredibly friendly, and while they didn't have much to work with in terms of what they were serving, they still went out of their way to make you think that the rock hard pancakes and bland British sausage they had to offer for breakfast was something special.
My flight on Thursday from ORD had a few cute young things working C, so it was a nice change in scenery. :D

Cracks me up every time I'm in an airport and see those things still in use. Seems like every airline still uses them at the gates, and they are probably one of the very last customers of new dot matrix printers, printer ribbons, and tractor-feed paper.
