That discussion should be reserved for the SCL DO in 2010.

By that time, JJ should be in *A (as well as CO). IAH-GRU-SCL should be fun.

DL used to operate 752s into CAE.

Yep and now it's mostly CRJs, with a couple of MD-80s.

DL has been screwing some of the smaller cities that are within 500 miles of ATL lately, with downgrades of equipment and ridiculously high fares. I've seen L and U fares on DL over $650 for a roundtrip ATL-CAE ticket, departing Monday afternoon and returning Friday morning.

I'll put you on the list (when one is made) as a definite. :p

I am going to grab one of the Hiltons in Brussels, though I am still unsure if my work schedule will permit my attendance at this slobberfest.

I definitely know one way of getting the grievances aired. All that's necessary is to assert that Chilean wines are generally superior to Argentinean wines. :D

I think that we should plan a Box NW DC-9 mini-DO/Mileage Run for sometime early next year before DL puts the aircraft and NW itself out to pasture.

If you haven't yet obtained possession of a sample of NW F Cabin Glassware, be sure to do so before they disappear. @:-)

That's not a bad idea. NW already retired a big chunk of those old clunkers too. They're getting harder to find on some of the old routes where they were quite common.

I tried to fly a NW DC-9 a few times in the past few years but every time there was either an equipment swap or the flight was canceled due to a mechanical problem.

Fortunately I had already picked up a DC-9 several years ago.

Y'all should try to find a route with DC-9-40s. ATL-DTW used to have one or two assigned to the route.

Also, I just put in my request to Scott for a date change on my PTY tix. ^

That was the flight I tried several times earlier this year to get a -40 on, and they always subbed it for a -50. I finally go the -40 on a MEM-BTR flight right before NW pulled mainline out of BTR and replaced it with CRJ service.

The -40 is a very hard bird to catch on NW, since there never were very many of them, and it's easy to sub down to a -30 if the load is light (and fly one less FA) or up it to a -50 if the load is heavy and avoid an oversell.

Yay! Hope he comes through for you. You seriously need to be at the Do.

Even if it can't be changed without penalty, I'll still have an hour in the PC en route to PTY on Saturday morning, and about 00:45 on the way back (around 06:00pm) Sunday Evening. I'm sure I can find some die-hard drunks to have a few with me.
