Even if it can't be changed without penalty, I'll still have an hour in the PC en route to PTY on Saturday morning, and about 00:45 on the way back (around 06:00pm) Sunday Evening. I'm sure I can find some die-hard drunks to have a few with me.

I'm sure you can.

Also, I just put in my request to Scott for a date change on my PTY tix. ^

My guess is that you'll get what I got - an offer for a TCV for the value of the ticket. I'm struggling to find dates where I can rebook for the same (or close enough) prices and a reasonable trip length, so I'm not sure what to do about that. I also really wanted to go before the end of February so I'm still platinum and have a decent chance at the EUA on the 752.

That discussion should be reserved for the SCL DO in 2010.

I'm in for that.

I think that we should plan a Box NW DC-9 mini-DO/Mileage Run for sometime early next year before DL puts the aircraft and NW itself out to pasture.

I'm game.

Awesome! We need our fearless leader there.

Hey hey hey Box! All I'll say is that I am very cautiously optmisitic regarding today's interview. ^^

In other news, DC-9's are still somewhat often seen on PHL-DTW, and rolov, I was all too happy to bemoan the entertainment and get a ton of poop and pee stories in return. :D

My life is wracked by fear. Fear of not getting an EUA. Fear of being denied boarding or being "cut-off." Fear of not getting a schedule change so I can work shenanigans with routing rules. :D

Well, I think most of the denziens live with those fears.

Wow, my Project Manager for this client stopped in to chat with me during our lunch break. He's offering to request more of my time here next spring, and wants me to look at the schedule and recommend more time as needed. My weeks on the bench for next spring are slowly, but surely, going away. This client can use all the help I can give them, and if they're willing to have me here a little more often in the spring, I'm all for it!

Good luck. Now the worst part, the wait for a decision from them.

Thanks. I was told I'll know either way at the end of next week...the wait sucks a little less when you know it's not open-ended.

I am in as well.

I can start organizing.

Does anyone have an idea of when they would be available? I was thinking sometime in late February or early March, or even before, if people are game.

That's not a bad idea. NW already retired a big chunk of those old clunkers too. They're getting harder to find on some of the old routes where they were quite common.

Plenty of them still operating out of DTW.

The only time I will not be available is mid-March. Going on vacation then.

Kind of expanding from another thread, but we could also have some fun and do an event on the AF Island Hopper out of MIA. Oooo la la!

Very cool. I didn't realize such a flight existed.
