Some people are just too fragile. I like the WN comment. Let's see, what do they say during the safety breifing. "return you seat back to the upright and most uncomfortable possition. For those of you who have not been in a car since 1960, this is how the seat belt works.... Place your luggage under your seat so you have even less room for your feet..." It goes on and on and on.

So AF has an A320 at MIA just for this route? I'm assuming they park one there as a spare as well?

For a while I was going to camp out in front of Starwood HQ in HPN to see if I could kidnap one of the oompa loompas on the design team to force them to change their ways. But, alas, I was too busy washing the shampoo out of my hair at home.

My ratty arse hotel in TYS (not affiliated ) has one that's about 5'6" up.

This hotel, by the way, is freaking fantastic. I had a conversation with my neighbor last night, Peter Gibbens style ("hey, you watching the momography infomercial on Channel 72?") followed by spending 10 minutes figuring out what the random timing dial is on the wall. And what it times. It's actually a suite of sorts, I've affectionately dubbed it the "serenity now suite." Cause every time I walk in, look around, I think to myself "serenity now."

It's good to see that someone finally is discriminating in favor of short people. I may have to write a letter to Starwood commending such action, as well as shift more of my hotel stays to them. :D

See my post about the bathroom mirror at the Baton Rouge Sheraton above. I ended up doing my hair using the full-length mirror on the closet door.

I had no idea this even existed. That would be awesome. I'm game.

But for the coach-class designator on the itinerary. I wonder if they operate a proper Domestic-F style product on those routes, or if it's EuroBiz.

Expect even coach to be astronomically expensive on that route (if purhcasing vs. redeeming a reward).

Looks like from this seat map it's EuroBiz , not proper domestic F.

There are two based in FDF that serve all of the Carribean Regional Network. From what I understand, they perform MX overnight in MIA. In addition, there was only one stationed on this side of the Atlantic until this year. The A320 is a workhorse and AF does not have high utilization hours in this network, so I am guessing they do not have all that many issues.

Interesting move by AF - why fly widebodies across the Atlantic to their smaller outer territories when you can just connect the dots with a smaller aircraft.

I poked around for dates in January and it was expensive, but not all that much more than flying to other smaller islands in the Caribbean in the winter.

Oui. C'est vrai.

No point in redeeming for anything other than whY, then.
