I find the Palm in DC (Dupont) to be excellent relative to the local Ruth's Chris, roughly equal to Mortons, and better than some other Palms I have tried.

I never thought I'd say this, but reading this had me jonesin' for the return of FCTSTY.

Yawn.

And if you haven't already: next time at the Palm, don't get a steak, hard as that might be. Chicken Parm is the way to go. She hates when I say it, but my girl refers to the dish as "sex on a plate".

I have not been to the Palm in Dallas but have been to the one in DC on several occasions and the one in Las Vegas once. I would describe the food as very good but a little short of excellent - I do admit to not having partaken in the Parm.

The location in DC is fantastic for people watching - both to watch the people who might actually be important but also to watch the folks whose importance is self-envisaged.

That thread is/was just not right. Though, I will admit, CO 1E's fat comment did have me laughing. :D

It looks like my return SJO-EWR EUA will clear though.

Did you meet up with wolfie_cr while you were down there? He probably could've hooked you up with something fun.

Good luck! I have often had affection for the notion of working for an airline. As an airplane geek, it would probably be great. However, as far as any IT jobs I've seen them advertise for, it would also be a 50% pay cut for me, and that pretty much kills the deal.

I applied for a job at CO knowing that it would be a 50% pay cut, but also knowing that I'd probably be willing to give it a try for a little while to see if it was as much fun to work there as they make it sound like.

Yeah...but you have to know to order the chicken parm since it isn't on the menu. When I go with my client to the one on West 50th in NYC he always gets the parm and he loves it.

Good luck.

I came very close to getting a job at Eos. I suppose, in retrospect, that worked out for the best. ;)

But definitely very cool to go to their HQ several times and meet with some of the best and brightest in the industry.

Yeah....I didn't get it. Not so bad in the end, as I'm working for myself right now instead and doing OK at it, but the CO option would've been fun. I know that my wife wouldn't have moved to Houston, so that would've made things interesting, but the position I was interested in was a great opportunity and would have been a great project/effort to be involved in.

I hereby make a motion that JetBlue changes their code from B6 to BM.
