In an airline death pool update, does anyone think that AZ won't be around in November?
|
I thought they were going a few months ago, but yet
they are still around. So at this point who knows. Are you looking into booking a ticket on AZ for Nov ? |
I might end up cruising FCO-FLL in November, and every airline under the sun won't sell seats on the date in question for the TATL leg, citing the NYC Marathon as what they're saving seats for - CO included. However, I can get AZ EWR-FCO. My only other nonstop choice is AA from JFK...that flight just recently appeared in the timetable as a result of the demand in the area. I don't want JFK, but I do wanna get there.
ETA: I can connect in CDG or LIS, but none of the connection times inspire confidence in baggage handling...it would indeed suck to cruise for 18 days without luggage. |
I just need AZ to hang in there until July 7, as that's the last (DL Codeshare MXP-JFK) leg of my ridiculously-routed fare with them. I can only imagine what fun it would be trying to get TG (the ticketing carrier) to reroute me to JFK after an AZ collapse.

I can't wait to start taking pics on my upcoming IAH-FRA-OSL-SVO-HKG-HKT-BKK-FRA-IAH F/J Extravaganza. Just ordered a Canon 40D with a 17-40 L Series Lens. Should be here in two days :D :D :D

Best tip that I got from the LH guys is not to follow their signs to the FC Terminal but simply go straight out of the bag claim area, make a left, and walk the hundred or so meters. When you get there, you will see a small parking lot and a door with a button and a sign that says "klingen." That means "ring" and they will immediately send your PA down to get you. |

Your FCT shots will ensure that your first attempt at a Trip Report (assuming that plan is still valid?) will be a heavily viewed one.

FCT is on the list, as well as the new BKK Biz Lounge, Oslo, Red Square/Kremlin & Hong Kong, as well as the LH Upper Deck F Cabin, SU Tu-154 J Cabin, SU 763 J Cabin, TG Regional J & TG Longhaul J.

He'll hardly have time for that with his PA hovering, the hundreds of bottles to check out, and the chef ready for his order. :)^
