My comment regarding why did I spend a night at a Hampton Inn, in Scranton last night was not so much about why I was at a Hampton Inn, but why was I in Scranton. It was a textbook last second, unexpected trip. Too bad it wasn't somewhere fun. Or point earning.

In the words of Triumph the insult comic dog, a big poop on C:rolleyes: for today's announcement. Pathetic.

Ok, I'm going to make martinis. Who wants one? I have Ketle One and Grey Goose.

No BC-stuffed olives though :(

Sure, but, what gin do you have? :D

I was waiting for some unprintable acronym, like BUFF for the B-52.

How I miss my scanner. I used to love listening to my license plate getting called in during traffic stops. This was before I discovered the virtue of being a good boy on NJ's lovely roads.

belynch: I stayed in an HI in Scranton once...was it Montage Mountain? Can't remember.

That's why I have a stack of PBA cards. ;)

Me too, but I also have the cell phone of the sole NJ State Trooper who processes all of the personnel actions for the Division. The way I see it, if I ever need to call him, the cops are going to want to talk to me anyway.

What is 201? an ems unit is rockland/orange? we dont really have any contact with ny agencies except for panynj. I work for a major regional ems dispatch center for north jersey.

Never mind, I don't read well.

I could have easily done cheesesteaks tonight...don't you believe that tonight was just as dead as could be? Any slap on the wrsit the job would have thrown me would have been totally meh in exchange for hanging out with the guys who were there tonight and missing out on this ugh scene.

Yup.

jzyshawn, 201 is the numeric code for the police dispatch center in the town (Rockland).

Yeah, Montage Mountain is a montage and a mountain of  - I did one night there with the girlfriend when she did some work travel...honey used to be kind enough to schedule her travel around my days off (rar!) and we found utterly nothing of interest there. At all. People wonder why PA west of Philly has earned the moniker "Pennsyltucky". It's easy to see when you go out there for more than about 12 minutes.

Which is why I was so confused that I woke up there this morning. Having had no intention of being there until about 3 hours before I was actually there.

Damn people calling 911 10 minutes before shift change. The nerve...

(Fun call though. Too bad I can't talk about it. ;))

Haven't seen a single cheesesteak-related post, so I can only assume that some degree of hilarity ensued and fun is being had by the uber-mini-meet crowd....I think a total of 3 managed to make Tony Luke's. - should have went. Dammit.

Night Box. It's been real today.

I probably could have made it to TLs. I was HAVING a slow night too... until two Philly police officers were involved in a wreck, in which one died. So, I was stuck outside the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania waiting for the mayor and police commish to tell us the details. And, of course rain from Hanna decided to make a visit after a nice day.:(
