If anything, I thought Zimbabwe might have a store called Whole Heads. <rimshot>

We have very basic rules regarding airfare. Doesn't matter who you are or where you're going you have to buy a ticket in Y. Flying to see a client in Australia or Hong Kong or Dubai? Get ready for hours of flying in 31-32" pitch, because unless you pay up the difference in cash and/or miles, that's where you'll be. It really sucks.

That's not to say the occasional R fare, or Q-up or Y-up doesn't pop up on the travel agent's website as the cheapest refundable option. When that happens, you're good to go. I do manage to grab a few trips a year that are booked into domestic F from the time the ticket is issued thanks to that. But the rules are such that those tickets have to be the cheapest option, or within $100 of the cheapest option. We do at least get to select whether we want a refundable or non-refundable fare.

I hope to charge enough for my time that F/J airfare is the least of any future client's worries. Here's hoping :D

I may go long on swampland futures, also...

(To date, my biz travel has included a grand total of two flights to LFT, in Y - Where's that express elevator to the top?)

Out of order.

As I had feared. My back-up career plan is Pirate Bartender. The pay isn't stellar, and there's not a lot of demand for promising, young pirate-bartenders these days. But where there's a will...

So that's you in the Free Credit Report commercials?

I will also add this to my disjointed ramblings for the day... CO Flight 222 sucks. Any flight that taxis, takes off, and lands before sunrise (in summertime), without being a red-eye... that's just unnatural. The CRC at MSY wasn't even open before my flight boarded. That CRC opens at 05:00am

I can't even play guitar. Some pirate bartender I would make. :(

Should have been flying to LFT around 2002. If you timed it right, you could ride on a 735 with 10 F seats once a day.

I flew there in F earlier this year, due to an unintended diversion of CO 423 to MSY. After the flight was initially delayed for two hours, we circled MSY for an hour in terrible turbulence before diverting to LFT. They had no one on-site to refuel us, so we sat on the tarmac for another hour. Finally made it to MSY around 02:30am.

I'm stuck in the elevator that goes side to side.

I'm well acquainted with that elevator. I first enrolled in a university in 1998. I am still a student.

Fall 1998 to Fall 2007 - one AA degree and one BA, and I'm two classes short of an AAS that I can't finish since I'm not in uniform anymore.

Degrees in this business are not the ticket that they are in others. I'm finding this out and seeking to leverage said degree, but it would require a change of market....I'm certainly not opposed to same, but I need a good enough offer to justify moving.

Fun stuff. Sounds like my diversion to BHM last August on a trip to ATL.
