Just for the record, first Friday or Saturday in October will be very good for me as well. ^ Dalessandro's is very good but I can sit for hours in one of the plastic chairs at TLs and go for one sandwich after another....
I will definitely be north for that October weekend but 9/5 presents a problem for me since I just got invited to Jets at Dolphins (big conference game for the booby prize, Brett Favre as debutante, other BS) on Sunday 9/7 and need to hightail it down there right after the Giants-Skins on Thursday. So, if it is 9/5, I am out but will be ready for the next one at TLs. |
I was working today and it was very busy...apparently I have erred on several levels. :o I'm still up because I can't sleep. 9/5 is indeed the day that Hartmann is in town...at least that's what is in my datebook. I'm losing my ability to think - good thing I'm going away in a few weeks...my batteries need recharging.

I have driven them both many times and can vouch for that fact. ;) |

Didn't get to ride any 30+ year old DC-9, but today I rode NW's N662US and N661US. N661US was first B747-400 built (but not the first one delivered). All 19 years old, just like N664US I rode the other day.
I had a similar experience Friday. I flew the very first ERJ-145 that was delivered to CO. Of course that makes it just over 11.5 years old. Still a youngin' compared to many of the planes at NW. Other first planes I've flown:

By the way, does "nearly equidistant from EWR and PHL" in your profile reflect the fact that EWR is just about twice as far from Atlantic City as is PHL?.

I had the dubious pleasure of flying a DL/Comair CR2 the other day. Could this be the worst commercial aircraft ever built? Although, I must say that besides the height and width issues, the seats are more comfortable than ExpressJet ERJ seats.
|
I didn't start logging the numbers until FlightMemory was launched last year. But I was able to go back using various websites and get the registration numbers for all but about 200 of my flights. So far I've been on a very large percentage of CO's 733s and 735s, and all but one of the 762s.

I will say that the COEX CRJs that came from Independence Air have some very nice seats in them. |
I have all of four tail numbers in my inventory of almost 200 flights that I can remember: I logged the two B6 tails I was on because of their plane names, I have my father's Piper Cherokee, and for some weird reason the tail of the VS 747 I took to LHR in 1996 is stuck in my head: G-VFAB, "Lady Penelope". I think the VFAB registration is what compelled VS to temporarily rename said jet "Spice One" for the oh-so-thrilling, gotta-get-tickets-for Spice Girls Reunion Tour.

Yes, those are to be avoided if at all possible. Unfortunately CO is putting the CRJs back on the majority of the LBB flights this fall. :td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td::td:
I don't know; I find the seats on most of DL's CRJs more uncomfortable. They are slightly wider than the ERJ seats, but I don't like the lower backs. I will say that the COEX CRJs that came from Independence Air have some very nice seats in them. |
It's my Friday. That fact, however, is small consolation for having to get in the shower and show up at work.
