Too close to face value for me to give him the satisfaction. He pissed and moaned about sitting in CLE to get it, and he whines about traffic, saying he won't fly out of EWR or PHL if he can help it, only ACY. He has his retirement house just outside MCO...he's an NK $9 fare wh:rolleyes:re.

ETA: just for fun, I checked IND and BHM the same Thu-Sat as the film festival...fares would be covered by the damn voucher to go play golf for 2 days...but no, don't hook up your son who, strangely enough, doesn't complain about other cars on the road. Fine, be that way. He wouldn't have the voucher if not for me - it was from the PHL-DAY trip in April. Maybe I should see a professional about my issues...but I'm afraid it would ruin my charming personality.

Make that three. Sadly there isn't one in Pasadena and the thought of commuting from Hollywood every morning isn't real appealing.

Didn't get to ride any 30+ year old DC-9, but today I rode NW's N662US and N661US. N661US was first B747-400 built (but not the first one delivered). All 19 years old, just like N664US I rode the other day.

Agreed. Girlfriend wants to do MSY, SAT, or ORD. I want BHM or IND for golf reasons. We also looked at open jawing LAX/SNA or SFO and YVR for a Princess quickie repositioning cruise. Negotiations continue.

IIRC, Merida gets mainline. I'd love to check it out. There are some excellent SPG Hacienda properties not too far away. Unfortunately, in the absence of CO Specials, flights there are often $600+ these days :(

Two rather in-vodka-nated thoughts for the Box this evening:

1. If offered a dessert that involves a granita, sorbet or other fruit frozen in ice, add vodka on top. It contributes greatly to the flavor.
2. If, after #1, the bartender pours another glass of vodka and puts it down in front of you, it is for her enjoyment and entertainment, not yours.
