Argh! 10/18 is a no-go date for me (and I'd love to make this one). :(

Do keep The Box informed whether any future fights like this come up. ^

Pavlik last fought in June, also was at Boardwalk Hall. His 9/07 title win over Jermain Taylor was there too IIRC. One might assume February '09 would be the next title defense assuming he beats Hopkins...4-month intervals between bouts seem normal. Everything I can find and make phone calls about tells me that Pavlik does not (yet, anyway) have a contract that keeps him at Boardwalk Hall such as Arturo Gatti did.

D'oh. I'm thinking of someone else....oh yeah, IB. Never mind. Deleted as such.

Very interesting - I was unaware of this. When you get some time, can you post the details?

For things beyond CO's control, which includes WX/ATC delays:
Care kits, snack voucher and/or amenity cart
Discounted hotel voucher, where available at customer expense
Other airline reaccomadation at the orgin point

For things within CO's control, which include MX/OPS-schedule changes
Care kits, snack voucher, amenity cart and at the 90 minute mark the cart is
replaced with a meal voucher
Discounted hotel voucher, where available at customer expense
Ground transportation within the Metro area when no hotel shuttles available
Other airline reaccomadations

Please remember that these are guidelines for us. Most of these amenities don't begin until the 60 minute delay mark and for the most part the amenity cart is not provided until the delay is at the 90 minute mark.

Other airline re-accommodations are at the 2 plus hour mark to Skyteam and at 4 plus hour mark to other airlines.

Oh, if I had the time for Seinfeld. I've tried to reduce the number of irons in my fire...I cut out fantasy football this year, I stupidly started playing Airline Mogul again () and I very nearly gave up PS2. With post-proposal things sure to happen, it doesn't look too good for my daily life.

Here's hoping. Around February, I like to escape the pleasant 60-70 degree days we get here in Houston to more sloppy climes. This may sound like sarcasm, but I assure you it isn't. Not having a proper winter gets old.

Have you gone mad, man?! Without NCAA Football 200X, we are but hairless apes - insufferable troglodytes one-step removed from anarchy and law of the jungle.

Hartmann Aug 11, 2008 12:33 pm

The second destination my boss was talking about is western Australia but it's a medium-term engagement, which to this company means 2 months on, 1 week off.

I have done the KLM AMS to JNB flight - it wasn't bad at all. It is mostly daylight, and you get great views of Africa as you head north to south.

I'm a Madden, NHL, Tiger, and/or SOCOM guy. But they all eat up too much time.
