I'd do VS but booking via CO.com doesn't seem to work :( I would like to get 100% EQMs since this could actually bump me to Gold doing a single r/t (and there are two planned).

Are you flying coach or business? If business, I would go with AF.

HA! :D The way I'm reading the contract they wanted to stuff me in a suitcase and fly me over as baggage. We need to teach sales people that it costs money to fly places.

JNB in Y? I'd consider a new job. :D

ConciergeMike Aug 11, 2008 11:15 am

IAH-JNB didn't even come up as an option for me on CO.com just now.

Argh! 10/18 is a no-go date for me (and I'd love to make this one). :(

Do keep The Box informed whether any future fights like this come up. ^

You can always fly south :D
IAH-GRU on CO
and GRU-JNB on SA

As long as you don't get the 77IndienOcean AF config :( on any segments

I'd like to cancel my mail.

Actually, that's a great idea. It would give you a chance to sample an A340-200, if you haven't already done so (the -200s are somewhat hard to come by).

Hartmann Aug 11, 2008 11:24 am

Yeah, but SA miles are all but useless to me... I'm all about flying new metal but I gotta get my miles worth when I'm being stuffed in the back of a giant tube for work.

TP via LIS too if OW mileage is in play

TP is *A, not OW. And if you're going to do *A in a premium cabin LH would seem to be the ideal option from USA-Africa. Since it seems like you'll be stuffed in the back I'd go for shortest trip and skip the "fun" parts of the routing.

That's what the plan is for tonight.

SA J is quite nice. The food leaves a bit to be desired, but the seat is stellar.

co.com delight. Over $4,000 EWR - FRA for end of Sept. M class.

....

Postal Employee: "Certainly. How long would you like us to hold it?"
Kramer: "Oh, no, no. I don't think you get me. I want out, permanently."
Newman: "I'll handle this, Violet. Why don't you take your three hour break?
Oh, calm down, everyone. No one's cancelling any mail."
