OK, I'm sold. Just read the pitch for it and I'm convinced that if I ever start selling photos, I'm going to be a SmugMug Pro guy.

I updated that post. The tickets are now showing ticketed and confirmed, so we will be in STR during the times mentioned. ^

Computer questions. If you think you are about to loose power to a computer not connected to an ups and nothing important running, is it best to ride out the brown outs or quickly kill the power to everything? I only ask because a transformer a few streets away went boom.

Winter of '87 was crazy. We had a recorded low temperature of 9. Snow and ice stayed on the ground for about three days. It was essentially Armageddon in Houston.
We had a similar cold snap in about 1989. No ice or snow with that one, but similarly cold temps. I think it did snow up where I lived (northeast of Houston) later that winter. The area about 100 miles north/northeast of Houston had snow and/or ice storms almost every winter between around 1978 and 1983. Most of that never got into the Houston Metro, but I remember several snow/ice days when I was in elementary school. After that period, it's only happened about once or twice a decade, with ice storms hitting my hometown in early 1997, and then again around 2002, and then the most recent snow back before Christmas. |

The 762 domestic is such a tease and, frankly, I think the 764 is as well depending on the route. Too bad they do not have enough metal to toss these on some of the trunk routes with paying F passengers.

1987? I think that was 1983. I remember 1983 being particularly cold, right before Christmas, and lasting about 7-10 days. For the only time anyone knows of, lake in our subdivision completely froze.
