Congrats
flights to LAX today were all 0 in F so I had to rough it in the back with a full Y fare on a 752 w/o avod .
I did however eat a phenomenal steak for dinner at Mastro's in Beverly Hills
so i will call it even :D

Are you going to print that email out and have it framed? :)

Wow I am very surprised. If you dont mind me asking, what was your fare class and the time of day for this flight?

Looks like I am going to head out to LAX this weekend (seatcounter.com even shows a very good chance at upgrades both ways - shocking!). I'm looking forward to eating an In-N-Out burger while watching planes at LAX. :D

I hate you. :p

From the looks of the weather radar, is today a repeat?

Well I had a first at work today — had to cut my training class almost an hour short when water started pouring into the room through the air conditioning vents and the ceiling started dripping. Apparently the building we were in has an issue with taking on water when there's a bad storm, and Baton Rouge was clobbered this afternoon with several hours of almost nonstop heavy rain and severe thunderstorms.

This is also a good site. You should check out Imperial Hill while you are there. Enjoy! :)

For all of you plane spotters out there - I came across the following site today:

http://www.planespotting.com/airports/na.html

It gives some good user submitted information on the best places to watch planes at airports across the world. Many of the locations are spot on. Although, they failed to mention that you'll be harassed by all sorts of Hawaiian law officers if you spot too close to the parking lot at the end of Lagoon Drive (next to HNL).

OMG. I thought I was the only person who ever did that. I used to play with eAAsySabre on CompuServe in the early 90s all the time. Too bad I was a broke college student who couldn't afford to buy a ticket from DAL-IAH on WN without Dad's credit card.

Add one more to the list. I have no idea what I was actually doing since I definitely wasn't buying tickets, but I had a lot of fun poking around and searching for flights/routes/options on my compuserve/eaasysaabre account.

Yeah, it's going to be a nasty day there again.

My drive from the southwest side to the west side this morning was surreal, extremely low clouds moving quickly to the east.

ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy ohboyohboyohboy....

My 40D arrived last night. I stayed up far too late reading the manual and playing around with it. Much to learn and practice before setting off on my flights next week. :D

It's the first red eye on Monday, 5/19 (flight 1803 on a 753). I am on an I fare. I know Monday redeyes are typically light, but I am still shocked at a 5 day EUA! The emergency exit rows are empty and Seatcounter is still showing 9s up front! Can it be that a Silver might get an upgrade LAX-EWR?

I am actually still hopeful for an upgrade on my EWR-LAX flight as well. That one is flight 702 (738) on Saturday evening - also an I fare. The emergency exit rows are empty and Seatcounter is showing 6 up front!

Awesome - thanks! I had read about Imperial Hill and wanted to figure out exactly were it was - this will be very helpful.

Nah - I am going to wait until my EWR-LAX clears and then have them both framed side by side. :D

Best of luck with the hat-trick. If it comes through, you should be eligible for some sort of award at the next Freddies. :D

I haven't been to McDonald's for lunch in a really, really long time but today they are giving away a free chicken sandwich when you buy a soda... hmmm...

The chicken sandwhiches are disgusting (or more disgusting than any other McDonald's food, I should say).

Perhaps because those chickens are the vat-grown, boneless variety.
