Based on the last two years, I've been at the Friday night party until they were kicking us out, and that was usually around 11:00 PM anyway.

I see. I havent kept up with the times in the past. Last one I had people with me so left the Friday part when they were ready. This year I may be by myself. Who knows.

As far as the Sunday Box Do. Anytime is good but I will need to check flight times to SFO or SJC as I will be headed to California after this event. Are there any Boxers returning to SFO area on thast Sunday, perhaps we can get on the same flight and and a post-Do in flight meet.

I'm on my way there now. Nothing else to do this afternoon and there is more beer there than I have otherwise.

Also, I have a FT luggage tag on my bag if people can't find the group otherwise.

I too am quite ready.

Since I have not heard from anybody needing a ride from the East Side, I will probably leave here about 630. See you all then.

DL is replacing CO as the "official airline" of the Yankees... :(

I'm fixin to leave Westchester in the next 5-10. Should be there by 630.

I recommend the Mojitos. Their house micro-brew, "Ape Hanger" is pretty good too. It comes from the Middle Ages Brewery in Syracuse (which isn't a strong endorsement).

I've also been known to drink the BBQ sauce. :o

thanks. Hers went well, with no decision immediately. Mine was a practice for two more that I have coming up before then end of the year. While I was in the hotel interviewing today, I got another call that has me excited. Both of the FTers who reached out upon learning that I was out of a job have given leads that yielded interviews. My sincerest thanks. :)

If anyone wishes to dine as Pandy Retersen, let me know. I might not be on the job anymore, but I control my own access to OpenTable super-duper Concierge Edition, not the hotel. ^

Sorry I couldn't stay in town for the Meat Meet. I took the 2pm ferry back to Weehawken and ended up stopping to see my father on the Turnpike before coming to fiancee-land. The city was gorgeous and not too cold this afternoon; rather than cab or bus back to NY Waterway, I hoofed it from 48th and Broadway. Great walk. Enjoy the ribs and thanks again to those who know why.

I did a shot of shmaltz at Sammy's on the LES once, but I was a bottle of vodka down and was paid $20 for the effort. I do not anticipate participating in shots of BBQ sauce tonight.

I should be going home on Sunday. Won't know which flight until it gets closer to the DO but it will be to SFO.

I am going to grab a later flight on Sunday as well.

As far as restaurants for Sunday:

Empire Cafe
Backstreet Cafe
Dharma Cafe
Baba Yega
Shade
Gravitas (We had a DO here)

All of these are fairly central in the city and are a quick ride to the airport (15-20 minutes on the Hardy Toll Road or 45)

Those are all good choices. But since we've done Gravitas, I'd vote for one of the others for a little variety.

Box is quiet. The East-Coast Box-Degenerates must be getting down to business. :D

Yes indeed...several of the NYC-ish based Boxers are currently doing a Fred Flintstone impression in Harlem, and there may or may not be a cape involved.

Oh, while you're here: did you hear that NCL bought the SS United States?
