Holiday splits were in my parents' decree, and promptly ignored. And no, it's never too early. I could probably drink before noon, but the only I can smoke a cigar before noon is if I'm on the golf course.

I was thinking a pom champagne cocktail with fresh pomegranite seeds. I just haven't brought myself to do it and the conversation is over so now I have no excuse ;) The breakfast cigar was quite eye opening though!

I can't stand long drives. My legs get tired and I have bad road rage. I always find great fares out of PHL, maybe about $100 cheaper then EWR, but never enough for me to jump on it. The fares for the DO / MEET / THING are just crazy. I need to purchase two tickets. Two from PHL will cost me $400 :D EWR will cost me $800

I took BoltBus again this trip. The fares vary, maxing out at $15. This week I got my r/t run for $20 which isn't bad. And there is a $9-11.65 r/t train from 30th Street Station to PHL that you also have to buy. But given the time (and I have it this weekend) the savings are significant, even with the bus/train fees.

I took MegaBus last weekend one way and the bus was OK but the WiFi didn't work on my bus so that sucked. I'm also a member of the BoltBus frequent rider program now. I have no idea what that gets me, but I think I might start lobbying TalkBoard for a dedicated forum soon. :D

I just booked two one way tickets from NYC to Phila on BoltBus 02/05/09. $8 total for two people ($1 for me and $7 for the S/O) so now an overnight in PHL is a must. even with all this I am still saving about $300.

I like their color scheme better :D

I didnt read their terms. I have log in and join prior to my purchase to earn rewards. :( which I did not do.

Yes, that's the norm. It's never followed and always argued  It was almost tame today but one never knows what it will actually end up being.

I start as soon as Whole Foods starts having the pomegranite seeds (I know I could go to the work, but it's so much easier when they do). So it makes the holiday season much longer :)

rkkwan, I'm seeing some pretty impressive video of damage out in LA and around the UCLA hospital. Is that affecting you or your work??

At T-36 minutes to departure my flight only had 11 checked in with me still #1 on the standby list. Sadly that last seat checked in. :(

Has the door closed? I've checked in and haven't shown before -here's hoping you still clear.

I didn't complain about the decree being ignored. The one time it was honored as is, I had a horrible Christmas.

[RANT ON]

Allow me to vent, dear Boxers. I splurged on a weekend stay here at the Grand Wailea after being away from dear Mrs. MBM3 for much of the summer while I commuted to BUD for weeks at a time. Scored a wonderful upgrade to an Ocean View room with a grass lanai which was wonderful until......we came back from the Sunrise jaunt to the top of the volcano with its 02:30 departure from the hotel. Came back expecting a nice nap and promptly found out that they are doing renovations on the floor above and next door to our room and it sounded like a freakin construction site. After it happened again today I finally called a manager, which is something I really do not do. But at $375 a night, I want my money's worth and was really ticked that there was no mention of the renovations on the web site or at check-in. All the front desk said was "sorry" but the manager tried to make it better:

First Offer: Free Cabana (nice try)
Second Offer: Free Massages (very nice, but we just did the spa)
Third Offer: Move Rooms (Mrs. MBM3 was inconvenienced enough)
Fourth Offer: Free Night (ding ding we have a winner)

We both love the property and the Spa is nothing short of spectacular, but I have never been so annoyed in any room. Hammering, sawing, drilling, tools dropping, and the like are not something I need or want to hear when trying to relax in paradise. Sure, you do not spend a heck of a lot of time in the room, but sometimes I just prefer to relax on the bed in the airco reading a book....

Does anyone else find The Girls Next Door on E! to be as stupid as I do?

There is no real substance to the show, just T&A
