Coffee can't seem to cut through the brain fog this morning.

That's disgusting.

The water cup is for the particulate. The alcohol in the beer sterilizes everything else. @:-)

I've played many-a-game of beer pong and I'm still here to talk about it. :o

I'm shocked at the Box this a.m. I thought this is where the rabble-rousers came to rabble and rouse. Looks like everyone has a case of the Mondays.

I am waiting patiently for a major announcement today. :D

That was last night... there is a new storm brewing over the lake, according to our weather babe. ;)

I played my fair share of drinking games in college, now I'm content to drink my Tecate and observe.

Is the Rabbit wine opener the best out there?

Fair enough.

As I was writing my last post I was trying to think of the last time I actually played a drinking game and I couldn't. And that's not because I have periods of black-outs. ... it's been a while.

-sigh- I better go check the mirror to chart the progress of my receding hairline.

;)

Makes me think of that Seinfeld episode with George going to the toupee stylist.

I think the best wine opener out there is one of the most basic one. 5 half turns and 2 pulls and the cork is out. No need to fuss with a bulky $40 (or more) opener.

The corkscrew linked above can be found at most wine stores for only a few $.

That's great since oil floats on water and when you pull it you'll just re-coat it.

No, the best wine opener is the screwpull type.

I have the Rabbit type opener from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $9.99

Never had a problem with it.

Agree 1,000%. And, you can often get them free if you cozy up to a local wine merchant or befriend a local bartender.

Regarding my receding hairline, I'm very far from a Costanza style male pattern baldness. But, I do have a healthy widows-peak.

No.

I'm with sdm1130 that the basic "waiter's" corkscrew is the best one out there. I had the BBB Rabbit one for a while and I actually managed to strip the gear mechanism trying to open a bottle with a plastic cork that was stuck. The nice thing about the waiter's model is that you can adjust the depth/angle to ensure maximum leverage when dealing with a bottle that is not cooperating. Plus, if you end up with a broken cork you need something like that to get the bottom half out as cleanly as possible.
