Lousy FAs

I had the grouchiest group of FAs on ATL-EWR this afternoon. Lead flight attendant had no personality and when one of the F passengers asked her to hang his coat she loudly snapped back "Sit down and hold it and I'll come get it later." The flight attendant who worked F reeked of cigarettes and looked like it would take a putty knife to remove the layers of caked on makeup. She took my order for lunch by saying "You want a sandwich?" while smacking her gum. That was followed by "You drinking?" A few minutes later she came back "I've got some veggie soup. Want it?" Had this been a dive burger joint in rural Southeast Texas I would have thought nothing of her, but of course we were flying in F on Continental, so she was rather out of place. Flight attendant number three was just in a really pissy mood. She came up the aisle after we pushed back and said to the lead very loudly "Gale! Do your job! There's still first class passengers with coats!" Gale, the lead snaps back "I did do my job! I picked up their coats." Flight attendant number three says "Well some guy just told me to take his jacket." Lead flight attedant comes back, snatches the jacket from the guy sitting next to me in 1A without a word (he was a battlefield upgrade after she had picked up jackets the first time) and disappears. Then she yells "You happy now?" to flight attendant number three as she disappears out of the F cabin to go to Y for the safety briefing. Then during the safety briefing, flight attendant number three yells back up the aisle from Y "Tell her to slow down! She's reading it way too fast!" The real clincher was after the safety announcement when lead FA Gale and the chainsmoking F flight attendant were standing right next to me in the aisle. Gale is getting something out of her bag above 1B, and the chainsmoker is talking to her. The bin won't close without slamming it, and Gale slams it extremely loudly about four times before it stays shut. The F flight attendant yells at her and says "Jesus! Trying to blow out my ear drum? You know I can't afford to get my hearing fixed on what we get paid!"

This was all before takeoff. Seriously, CO, you'd be better off without these three women on your payroll. Seriously.

Unless PTY is in the cards :p. J.Edward didn't win the AMS draw, so it looks like he won't be sweet-talking Scott on my behalf for a waiver of change fees. :D

I'm sure J.Edward can be bribed in other ways. Find the boy a job and I'm sure he'll do whatever you want.

Compared to a Brasilia, DH8's are better.

I have more than 400 flights on DASH-8. They are fine. ;)

The best feeling is when you leave the house and the pda site says you are flying on a 737, but then you get to the airport and check again, all of a sudden it is now listed as a 767 and you are number 2 on the list with lots of empties :)

Um, yeah, that happens on CO like once every half decade or so.

I have shown up and had a 762 morph into a 764, and then get the upgrade at the gate. I'm praying that happens this afternoon, but so far, it's still a 762, and I'm still number 7 on the list.

Interestingly, i had a ticket i booked through a corp TA and then changed on co.com. I got full miles for it without having to do anything. So, i'm thinking as long as co.com touches the res, you're good.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I've had that happen once or twice, but more often than not, the ticket keeps its non-CO.com-ness.

Well I hope that happens tonight on 1502. I was #1 and then dropped down to #2. I guess someone bought a Y and hasn't been upgraded.

Of course, had i done this flight last week, i'd be on a 764. Grrr.

CM happy birthday. I was away from the box all weekend and am all finally caught up.

I hear CO runs flights from ATL to IAH to LBB :)

Then you wouldnt be tempted to repeatly check your stance on the upgrade list. Best of luck on getting the upgrade!

That entire post should be sent to Scott. Not only is it necessary for him to know, but it's laughable.

I wondered about the routing as well.

I flew DFW to IAH at 5:45 am this past weekend. We were served Biscoffs in first for the snack. Does anyone know if this is usually for a morning flight. This is the first time I have been served those so didnt know what was happening. I almost thought that I might see the snack basket ala DL or NWA. Well I guess that is DL now as they are one!

Yes, they do. And I almost always get upgraded between IAH and ATL in both directions. But this is far more interesting, and worth a lot more miles. And CO should appreciate it, because I paid more money for the ticket with this routing. So because I gave them more $$$, they should give me more EUA love. At least that's how I see it.

Definitely 19th Street, even though it appears dirty and gross.

That used to be my old stompin ground. I still own a house off of 58th and Slide:rolleyes:

I've seen the Biscoffs occassionally in F on CO. Occassionally as in probably five times or less in the last 10 years.

Interestingly they're almost always available on CO Connection operated by Colgan out of IAH.
