Not that you need it (I hope!!), but there's always that last minute before you actually do it that adds some anxiety to the situation :p |

That being said, I've managed to rack up ~75K BD points in the past 3 months without trying too hard (and I think they owe me more, but I can't figure out how they're actually calculated).

Good Luck! Goodness knows I was a nervous wreck beforehand, even though I was about 100% sure she would say yes.
Yeah, I'm nervous, but mostly about dropping the ring (or forgetting it) or tripping or something. :p |

My IAH-SFO flight carrying that ring was one of the more nerve-wracking of my life. I then had to keep it hidden for nearly 24 hours before I could get her out to the Redwood forest at Muir Woods. I think my head might have exploded had I tried to keep it concealed for the SFO-SYD-AKL flights.
I actually changed my proposal plans and did it a day earlier 'cause I couldn't handle it anymore. Does she know it is coming? Mine didn't (she expected it on our next trip), and that added to the fun of actually doing it. |

I did EWR-DUB then tooled around Ireland for 3 days before popping the question. As my now wife observed, I was behaving rather strangely for those few days :D

We have a favorite dancehall (yeah, I know, real Texas of me ;)) and a friend of hers is a popular singer and playing on Saturday night. So, her mom, dad, and sister are going to wait in the restaurant next door with my parents till one of her favorite songs is played. There are a lot of people in on the whole thing and I found out that she invited two of her friends to hang out with us that night... Little do they know... :p I am still torn between doing the "down on one knee" thing or just whispering in her ear and sliding the ring on her finger as we dance. That's my only dilemma at this point. |
Hartmann - Are you sure she doesn't lurk on this forum? :D

ahh the ol ball and chain. :D
j/k congrats to all you to be married folk. |
Congrats Hartmann! Hope it all goes well (I'm quite sure it will).
Something must be in the water round here in The Box... First ALCO, now Hartmann, and Friday night, the BF basically asked me the same thing (and of course I said yes, even if it means living in Atlanta for a few years). |

There must be something in the water, or should I say beer :p (we really need a shifty eyes smiley). rkkwan, even though she thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone at the DO, she doesn't really share a super deep interest in flying like those of us here. As an example, when she asks me what I'm doing on the computer and I look up with a big grin, she knows I'm looking at Mileage Runs and wants none of the details ;) |
