Even though the "threat" of a merger appears slightly less likely, what with pilots stirring trouble... we can take heart in the knowledge that they are just as anal and weird as we are :D

I was looking at a JRB-SJO fare this afternoon and on finding that I could not fly out on a Saturday, I took the lowest fare, $548. It leaves on Friday and returns on Tuesday.
As I went to choose the flights I noticed that the JRB-EWR leaves Friday while the EWR-SJO segment leaves on Saturday morning. :rolleyes: I've been able to get this to happen on other routes as well. So basically, I get to fly to Newark to spend the night there :p |

So basically, I get to fly to Newark to spend the night there :p The helicopter service doesn't run on weekends, which is why you can't book the Saturday trip. That being said, it is a standard forced overnight booking, even though the first segment is only 12 miles. |

So far to today i got SSSSd by DL in SAV almost missed my flight and now we are stuck on the ATL taxiway waiting for ATC clearance to EWR

What I want to know is how he managed to keep track of all that flying before Flightmemory existed. That'd make for some serious record-keeping. Not to mention many, many, many, MANY hours of data entry to get them all logged. On a related note, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that most people end up having their average flight right around 2hrs and 900-1000 miles? |
