Yes and yes. Comfort on a TPAC flight is finite...HDTV is much less finite.

Part of my dilemma is that this would be a TV for the bedroom, we already have a livingroom HDTV. IMO I don't think a bedroom TV would get as much use (the TV up there doesn't) but, yes, would be there 'forever.' Still, I'm leaning towards the upgrade (and might as well say screw-it and get the TV too).

I haven't been watching a lot of TV the last few years either, but I'm thinking of events vs day to day stuff: the azaleas pop off the screen something fierce during the Masters. :D

With 52" Samsung LCD in the living room and a 37" Sharp LCD in the bedroom, I make sure I see those azaleas and other details pop off the screen! I'm especially picky about my football games.:D

Do we have an idea what time we'll meet there? I have to work on Friday from 2pm till 1130pm. However, I can probably get someone to switch schedules with me, I can be out a few hours earlier. I won't mind a cheesesteak "meet" at midnight. That could be interesting.

Hartmann is landing at 5:14 IIRC, and I'm going to pick him up. I had asked something in here about setting a time after landing, like 6-6:30, and no one responded.

Isn't the CO change fee $150 / person, now (no elite status)?

Yes and it's $150 even with elite status.

I'll see what I can do about switching my schedule. I may be able to make it there at 6:30 or 7pm.

Ok, it's his choice but I so wanted to say "Gee that's too bad because I was going to re-seat you in FClass". Didn't say it but I really wanted to.

I've done this in the past and the look I get is priceless. :D

I would so love to see their face!!!!

It has been too long since I indulged my Sofitel fetish. Since the Sheraton Miami Mart airport hotel left SPG, I'll be getting the opportunity this weekend. Looks like I'll opt for one of the Sofitels in Santo Domingo over New Year's as well. Very reasonable rates down there. ^

Sorry, thought it was Hartmann talking. Seeing as how many people get multiple sandwiches at TL's, I have no reason to think that we'll be gone at 6:30 or 7.

You missed out on standing-room-only (for the first 45 minutes) and no air-conditioning.
