Wow, the Box is slow this morning. Where is everyone? Actually working today?

FT is blocked. Working from home I can route around it, but at the office tomorrow I'll be SOL.

Where do you work that blocks websites. I guess the industry I am in requires so much research they wouldnt think of doing it or if they did it would just be for the admin's and assistants.

To use it most effectively you should subscribe to the forums you read often. At the top of the forum home page is a link for "forum tools" and in there is a subscribe option. If you use that then when you go to the mobile site you can click on the "My Forums" link and get to the forums you read frequently. I actually use FT that way in both mobile and normal mode, but it is significantly more helpful in mobile thanks to the page load times.

11 years with the company and only nudie site were blocked. This is a relatively new phenomenon that started last week. It seems limited to blogs, message boards, chat and computer game sites. Anything that I might need for work is probably open. It sucks, but so it goes. Give how huge the company is I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

Unfortunately since I upgraded my BlackBerry to the new OS the FT mobile site won't work. It sends my handheld a message that says basically "We don't support this browser so you can't look at our site." Of course that's totally ridiculous. Why not let me look at it regardless of what browser I'm using? If it looks crappy I'll blame my handheld device, not your web programmers.

I even e-mailed Randy about it.

Yesterday was my first available day to upgrade to a BB if I so choose, but I don't know if the girlfriend and I are doing it for each other as Christmas presents.

I never understood the draw of the iPhone either, but I am certainly not the target market for such devices (working for a phone manufacturer). The AT&T network sucks, mostly due to the fact that their 3G roll out is laughably behind EVDO, much less EVDO Rev. A. Sure, it looks cool, but it just doesn't compel me.

Greetings to the box from BCN.

Haven't read much in here, but just wanted to wish baglady a speedy recovery.

And the PrivatAir experience - service/catering was good. Seat was horrific.

The iPhone isn't for everyone, but it's laughable to say that it sucks. Despite it's shortcomings, it's a very revolutionary mobile device. No matter how you feel about Apple, bar = raised.

Bar=moved. To say that it has been raised implies that the iPhone is sufficiently better so as to become the target for all future development. While the UI is pretty slick, it still is missing a large number of features leaving it less than useful in many corporate environments. It is very good for the consumer segment, but that doesn't make it revolutionary.

When did this become the Travel Technology forum?? ;)
